We both loved it, and said it was probably our favorite cocktail in awhile. As we were paying our check, we ended up chatting with our bartender a bit. So random, he's from Czech Republic and is somewhat new to Monterrey. I'm terrible with names so of course I forgot it, but he's awesome. We talked about the cocktail scene in Prague (I've been a bunch) and told him we'd be back. Came back the next night to try the Smokey Old Fashioned. It was good, but it just didn't compare to the Serrano Mezcalita, so we ordered it for a second time. Awesome environment, awesome drinks, awesome staff. This may not be fresh per se, but they really bring out the flavor for those of us who love fish in all forms - and bury it for those who don't. For meal one we had: me stuffed shrimp; her the pescado frito (the one with the cute little head and teeth). For meal two it was me: crema de camaron and a taco gobernador; her the grilled fish. Both times we had the avocado salsa and every last thing was great. Our drinks were mediocre the first night, but on visit #2 we had some bomb cocktails (hers was Jamaica-based;'mine was Gin with blueberry juice ). Service and ambiance are cool. This is a chain so we can't speak of the other locations, but this one was great for couples and big groups alike. Make a reservation if you're dining on the weekend!
