I stopped in for coffee while in town. Service was quick. The woman at the cash register was not really friendly, however the barista was friendly and welcoming. I ordered a large peach cobbler latter (seasonal beverage) and it was delicious. I was able to get in and out without a long wait. The atmosphere is cozy, there were a lot of locals sitting and working on their laptops when I visited on a Sunday. I will definitely visit again, this coffee shop did not disappoint. read more

I went in around 9 am on a weekday morning, thinking the morning rush of workers would have passed because that's when work starts. I was wrong. This location had a long line that moved slowly (only 2 baristas when I went) and the available tables were not wiped down (had wet spots from coffee and water, sticky from food). That being said, the coffee is always solid and I enjoyed my seasonal latte (strawberry mocha). read more

It's been years since I've been somewhere that has a La Columbe shop so I was excited to see there was one near our hotel. I got the same thing I got last time, a latte, and it tasted pretty much the same as the last time I had it. It was expertly crafted with smooth espresso, just the right amount of foam, with lovely latte art. As for food, I think they've definitely diversified their offerings as they now have some very nice looking pastries, including croissants and muffins. I saw they had canelé de Bordeaux which is like spotting a unicorn so I knew I had to try it out. It was alright, not the best rendition I've had but I'm glad they offer it and it was still an enjoyable indulgence. I shared it with the kiddo who absolutely loved it. I surprisingly enjoyed this coffee spot more than I thought I would - all factors considered! (I think I was assuming that it would be another basic/expensive coffee shop in DC). Now, of course, it was slightly pricy. With that said, though, it was very delicious and it almost felt "worth it" (lol) (compared to other shops where I'm like, "meh, another basic/average expensive shop again"). Needed a place with some coffee for a bit and this place fit the bill. Got the cold brew with some oat milk and it went down smooth from the draft they have. Service was quick too. And there was good seating to return some emails too. A nice place to grab some coffee. read more

This is a super cute coffee shop with great brick layout, huge windows, and nestled in a artsy decorated alleyway. The staff is super friendly straight when you walk in and the coffee itself is pretty good as well. Rich and creamy with ornate mugs. The only thing that felt lacking was the Danish. It was a bit on the dry side and didn't have the richness we were hoping for. Either way it was still a great spot. read more

The coffee here is great. I almost always get the Corsica. It's dark, rich, chocolatety. They often have guest coffees which can really demonstrate the differences in single bean coffees. They are absolutely worth trying so you understand the different coffee flavors. The staff is always great, friendly, hip and efficient. The only ding I can give them is their spoons. They are clean, but they don't look clean. Don't worry about the spoons, just enjoy the coffee! read more

Didn't know La Colombe had physical cafes but I'm glad they do! When I came, they ran out of their coffee on tap so I got and iced latte and thought it was really good. The coffee quality was good and smooth and the taste wasn't over powered by the milk. I really liked the ratio and balance of the latte. A New Yorker is rating this coffee shop It's just beginning of Chinatown. A good environment outside and inside. If we didn't find a Strawberry drink outside......, perhaps no one recognized here. La Colombe is a great coffee shop experience found throughout the District! Whether it be catching up with a friend or getting some work done, La Colombe provides a comforting ambiance that is very aesthetic and photo-worthy. I visited the Chinatown location with my sister on a sunny Saturday afternoon. I really loved the brick structure throughout this location and found the inside to be clean, spacious, and inviting. Keep in mind there is only one floor and seats fill up quickly! I've tried the Vanilla Latte and Matcha at La Colombe in Farragut West (which I really enjoyed), so I wanted to take the opportunity to try something new. I decided on their Cold Brew with Whole Milk and Vanilla. The Cold Brew was a bit sour, but paired well with the milk and flavoring making it lightly sweet and savory. Keep in mind the vanilla syrup is an extra dollar, which I personally don't appreciate. The service was quick and answered all questions I had about the various drinks. If you find yourself near one, I would definitely check out La Colombe, despite its quality being a bit hit or miss based on its location. I look forward to trying the Half Tan, a half Cold Brew - half draft latte mix, sometime soon! read more

The drinks here were good but lukewarm warm. They remade our drinks after we asked for them to be extra hot but they still weren't even remotely hot. The service was friendly and the shop was nice and quaint but I wouldn't come back here because of the temperature of the drinks. read more

Tasty coffee. Friendly staff. Spacious environment to catch up with friends or coworkers. If you are staying at the nearby hotels- skip the hotel coffee and come support this northeast business. There are more flavors than what you would see at Whole Foods or Amazon. I wish these good coffee roasters had more decaffeinated options. read more

Shut the front door ! I had no idea La Colombe had coffee houses. Their canned coffe drinks showed up in San Francisco market and the cold brew was exceptional! So I was a bit overjoyed that I was able to walk to a coffee shop they have a couple blocks from the convention center . I ordered a hot vanilla late and it was lovely . I feel so happy I got to go this gem of a coffe le house that has ample seating and super cool staff. This experience put a smile on my face! I hope they come out SF some day ! read more

My friend and I have favorite La Colombe locations. This one is her fave! I only visit this location on office days and most times, they are extremely busy. However, the staff here is always really nice and never complain when I ask for an... Oat half tan, no ice, more draft that brew lol. It's an easy walk from the Washington DC Convention center. It's good to get some sunshine In when you are attending a conference. We ordered drip coffee and it was great. For some reason it seems to me that the management has changed. It hasn't affected anything here. Plenty of places to sit and it's a good place to meet people. read more

Stopped by for a cappuccino prior to visiting the African American museum. Super cute cafe with seating both indoors and a small seating area right outside the store as well. Love their coffee cups and coffee! Their baked goods also looked really good so will definitely try them next time. Service was prompt and coffee was delicious! This is for dark roast lovers. I could only drink a few sips of my drip coffee. It wasn't bad, just too dark and strong for me. My wife's macchiato was also dark and strong. I've had the same experience with their espresso at another location. This place is pleasant, but the tables were not very clean, despite there being only a handful of customers at any given time and the staff having plenary of time to clean after patrons. The pastry items looked good, but I didn't have any. I probably would have tried their croissant or cinnamon roll had I been hungry. read more

The hubs and I have long been fans of the canned La Colombo coffees which is the only available option (at this time) in Colorado. When we were searching for coffee places around our hotel, we were pleasantly surprised to see a brick and mortar La Colombe around the corner from our hotel. I love chai so was really happy to see they use Rishi, which is my favorite Chai mix. The first day I got the nitro draft version and wow does nitro add a whole new delicious dimension to that drink. We got pastries (croissants) the first day and they were decent but not the best example of a croissant. Day two the hubs got a canele and it was very good! read more

Always a great espresso. Top notch coffee purist drinks unlike some other places that just push a button, add "pumps" of sugary flavored syrups and call it a latte. This is real coffee made by real baristas. This particular location upheld the brand and culture shared at many of the other locations along with a super friendly and welcoming staff. I'm also inclined to like them a bit more for all that the company does for human rights, ethical, and other worthy causes. It's in their culture and you can read about it on their website. For me, I'll always seek out a La Colombe as they check all the boxes that a real coffee shop should. read more

This was a close walk from my friend's place on Penn Ave. My friend has been hyping their salted caramel draft latte which I had a sip on and it was quite good. Sadly, too sweet for me, so I didn't end up getting it. OATMILK DRAFT LATTE (12 OZ.) - 6 The draft lattes is what La Colombe is known for. It's fizzy, creamy, and delicious. I haven't had one in over a year and half so it was about time I got it again. It was very good and not too sweet, the foaminess was great and definitely differentiates it from other coffee shops that sell lattes. This is not your normal latte and I would think of it as a regular cold latte infused with air (kind of like draft beer, lol). The pricing has gotten a lot more expensive since the last time I got a draft latte at La Colombe. The space here is clean and spacious. The baristas were nice. read more

Good coffee. I'm not a coffee guy but I really liked the oatmilk latte I ordered. It came from the tap and was so creamy. I definitely reccomend it. I think this is the better coffee option in downtown DC area. Iced latte is good, it is served with a spoon to stir yourself. I did consider the draft latte, and I asked if it could be sweetened, and they said it couldn't. Another barista said that they could add syrup to it to the other customer after me. Oh well, maybe they did not understand my question.. The place is not big, but access is easy since it's located on the big road. There is another location nearby and it's kind of tucked in an alley way. There are some small tables available. I recommend this over other coffee places in the area (I tried those as well), and this one is the one I returned to in a few days I stayed in downtown DC. read more

I love this little coffee shop and I think the last time I visited it was about 4 years ago. It's just very quaint and I love the brick inside and outside. I came here after a doctor's appointment that I had on 9th Street so I could work remotely. When I came inside, the cashier was very welcoming and pleasant. While waiting for my cappuccino, I scooped out an area to work. I definitely need a plug outlet and a gentleman sitting down told me where they were all located. Thanks to this regular, I immediately started towards the one that was available. There was only one problem. There was a woman already sitting there and when she learned I needed an outlet, she immediately volunteered to move. That was really sweet of her and I really appreciate both of them looking out for me. Once my coffee was ready, I had to take videos and pictures. I love a good opportunity to take photos of beautifully made coffee. If you're looking for a place to work remotely, enjoy the service and appreciate the quietness, this is a great place to be. read more
