I did not feel rushed at all and it was a very good experience. There were a lot of dresses and many different styles to choose from. I tried on three dresses and found the perfect one for me. Work in the area and drive past this place everyday. Liked what was in the window, so when it was time to purchase a dress for my son's wedding, I thought I'd shop local and check out this place. When I walked in, no one even reacted to me. After wandering around for nearly 20 mins, a young woman asked if she could help me. I explained why I was there, but before she even showed me anything, she went off to answer the phone...and never came back. I stood around another 10 minutes feeling really awkward, and then just walked out. Maybe they only want prom business, focused on catering to young girls with too much $$$ on their hands, but If this is their level of service, I probably dodged a bullet. Beware! They had no details about policies on their receipt and only posted a sheet of paper up about their layaway and return policies, which I didn't see at the time of purchase, so if purchasing a dress I would recommend looking at the code and company and googling it before purchasing from this store. I found my dress $200 cheaper at multiple stores after I'd already purchased it here. Make sure you ask questions about ALL policies so at the end of the day you don't get stuck with something overpriced that you don't want! read more

I got my prom dress custom made from here! At first I had a very specific prom dress in mind that I drew out on a piece of paper. I went around to a bunch of stores near Chicago and no one had anything like it. I went to La Chic and they said that they don't know of anything like the dress either, but that they'd be happy to make it for me! They spent so much time and effort making my dress, it was incredible. Every detail. Every thread. Every bead. It was all just so perfect and I'm so happy I got my dress from here. 1000% recommend for anyone going to prom, or just anyone who wants a dress really. They have a lot of inventory and the stuff is really nice and in-style. There's a casual line which is really good for people looking for just a nice formal look, some more professional evening gowns, and of course, PROM DRESSES!!! Sam, the manager, is super friendly and their stuff is great. Their prices are really good which is nice and there is some stuff that's on sale. They also have a really professional website which is what attracted me to their store in the first place lachicchicago.com. Also, they let you try on as much as you want which isn't true for a lot of the nicer up places. My mom also got two dresses while I was getting my prom dress from here so they really know how to make everyone look good. (And Sam gave me a pretty clean discount) The workers are also super nice and polite even though the store gets a little busy sometimes.
