You may, for example, receive just potatoes, but not any meat. Then a lone plate of pickled egg plant arrives. And so on. Somewhat strange.
This place describes itself as a vermouth bar, so there are many options for vermouth based drinks ... all very tasty. We had 4 or 5 different types. They have wine and beer, although the wine was rather pricey for this type of restaurant.
The atmosphere is a blend of tacky, quirky and found items; a mish-mash of photos, paintings, miss-matched glasses, etc., with no particular theme. The lighting is far too bright, reminiscent of a 24-hour pharmacy, but there is a good sound track playing that is even louder than the din created by the patrons.
We were surprised that the server brought us the check before we asked, indicating that there were people waiting to be seating. That was the first time that has ever happened to us in Buenos Aires! And it was not appreciated.
Food - 4 stars
Ambiance - 3 stars
Service - 2 (that is 4 stars for the server and 2 for the kitchen and 1 star because they brought the check too early)
Notwithstanding some of the negative aspects (bad lighting, out of sequence food delivery), we had a good time and will likely come back.
