The waiter was super attentive and VERY nice. He suggested the cerdon, which is a local apertif of a sparkling rose wine which was tasty. My meal was non from the "menu" but he said he would make it one for me, giving me a small salad chevre chaud with the shrimp special of the day, which was very nice of him. My salad was beautiful and perfectly dressed. The shrimp was" flambe en Ricard" which is some kind of French alcohol. I am not a fan of cutting off the heads and pulling shrimp out of the shell but this was so good and the shrimp was perfectly cooked, juicy and delicious. Served on the side were perfectly cooked potatoes in a garlic parsley mix. They were so good. If I go back to Perouges with guests we will eat here for sure.

My son wasn't sure what to order, but we found him a perfect steak dish with cream sauce and mushrooms. My husband had the chicken with mushrooms and I opted for the Coq au Vin. We all ended up sharing each other's plates and soaking up the delicious sauces with our bread. My son loved his beer and our bottle of Chardonnay was perfect. Time for dessert, we were pretty full but we had to try the mousse and galette. The ambience was perfect and this will be place I will truly remember.
