We ordered the hot chocolate and chose to leave it au natural, versus add one of the many aromas and flavors they offer. The drink was rich, thick, and velvety. It's what hot chocolate is supposed to taste like. We savored every drop. Run, don't walk to this chocolate confection heaven. It's now a staple for every visit to Heidelberg.

We selected a nice marzipan-filled milk chocolate log kind of thing & purchased a decorative box to bring back for family The marzipan log was okay - the almond flavor was very subtle & I am thinking the dark chocolate would have been a better pairing.....and they had that on offer so I'll put it to the test next time The decorative box never made it to the family - I just couldn't resist the cute houses, doggies and foiled chocolates in both dark and milk varieties. While most of the chocolates are the standard selection of their belgian chocolates, they do have one or two items that are particular to the Alsace region. Of special note is that the shopgirl was extremely helpful, and even went the extra mile in helping us find a location by exiting the shop and showing us the directions in the street.

The Museum is on the second floor, and the Cafe is on the first floor.
