Had the foie gras with figs and toasted bread to start. The Blanc de Poulet avec ris basmati was seasoned perfectly with Indonesian flair and a great citrus-peanut sauce on the side, my husband had the duck leg with mushrooms and crispy potatoes that came with a side salad that was perfectly cooked, seasoned, and I loved the thinly sliced potatoes that were melt in your mouth. Two 50 cl of wine later and we were more than pleased with the ambiance provided. Definitely a locals spot in the Marais to not be missed.

The current staff is very nice but virtually no English and our group struggled quite a bit from ordering to getting the right entrees to settling the bill. My dinner was outstanding. I had the Fillet Beef with cognac pepper sauce. Delicious! In my experience Europe tends to cook meat less than my what I find in the US, actually closer to the real standards for rare to well done. I normally order Medium Rare but here said Medium and it was perfect with predominantly warm red center. Some made the mistake of using their standard back home and had to send back for more cooking. The wine list was decent but not quite what I would have expected for a place of this caliber. Getting drinks from what appeared to be a full bar was very challenging and most of us gave up on that and just stuck with bottled wine. Desserts were outstanding. I would recommend this place but bring a French speaking companion or translator if you can to fully enjoy!

Well yeah, me too. Sooooooooo, we happened upon this restaurant while attempting to locate another that had unfortunately called it quits recently. We were in another country and had no WiFi to call on my Yelp squad to save me, so we began walking aimlessly like really hungry zombies and here we found ourselves. The staff was welcoming, the food was really good, and no one ate each other zombie style before our food came. I had chicken and tarragon casserole with mashed potatoes, my husband went with scallops en brochette, my daughter had a burger and we shared the raspberry creme brûlée. The restaurant is cozy and just what you want in a little French bistro.

But every now and then you find one that is really, really good, comfortable, priced right, and so on. Based on our one evening here, Le Dorcia is it. The fishes were excellent - try the bar (bar the fish, not bar the place to drink, although the bottle of Sancerre we had was quite fine, too). Assuming you are a(n Ame)ricain and reading this (English people, please stay away) I'll also mention that the servers were very friendly and capable and not at all ostentatious. I kept staring at the millefeuilles they were bringing out to others for dessert and had to have one, and did, and was happy.
