Backstory:
I went there for a new bike after trying places…read morelike La Cordée, MEC and other big surface sporting good, but I found that I didn't get good service and the salesman wanted to sell me the bikes that were on sale.
I went to Cyclo Sport after a colleague of mine told me that I needed to see a real specialist, a bike specialist, someone that his only revenue was to sale/repair bikes, and off I was to the nearest bike store I could find.
I spoke for about 1 hour with the owner (not an underling, the but actual owner of the store) about what type of bike I was doing (distance, terrain, weather, accessories, etc.) and what kind of budget. You see the guy does not want to sell you a bike that will gather dust in your garage, he wants to sell you the bike that you need for your use.
Pros:
- Great service
- Great location (near a bike route)
- Great price
- Lifetime free adjustments for brakes/gears
Cons:
Is there any?
Conclusion:
I go there every summer (even though it's quite far from my home now) to get my bike adjusted, and to buy myself new accessories. I could get my accessories cheaper at Canadian Tire, but I prefer to go to the little local business owner, that is clearly passionate about bikes.
