There were a variety of types of eaters in our crew and everyone was taken aback by how delicious, hearty (yet refined) and satisfying her meals were. We selected him and his team for our wedding in Tuscany in April 2018 and it couldn't have been more perfect. The process was amazing - Alessio gave us an incredible choice of food on the menus, and all were extremely gourmet options - not the standard mass-dinner selections you usually get for weddings. He let us mix and match to our taste. On the day, he and his team were excellent - they supplied not only amazing food and service, but also everything else you needed - chairs, tables, glassware, bar, apertivo - the whole thing from start to finish. His traditional cake show, where he made the wedding cake by hand in front of the guests was truly a wow moment, very memorable and great for pictures and to get the energy up after a dinner. This restaurant stood out as one of the finest dining experiences of my 11 days in Italy. The owner and chef is named Emilio - and though he speaks very little English - his communication through the language of delectable foods is superb. Our guide translated as he prepared a grape cake for us to enjoy later - then he created a wonderful zucchini flower risotto for our group. It was a joy to watch him work and his staff was phenomenal. We enjoyed wine, a mixed grill, pasta, and dessert over the course of three hours and I would love to return to this charming restaurant if I'm ever in the Florence area again. Wonderful!
