Two pizzerias are located blocks from each other. We chose the one that looks like a mom and pop shop. The other one is pretentious looking. We picked a table inside and saw a huge group had finished their meal. I figured it was a good sign for their food. The menu is in four languages, very easy for visitors. We wanted a simple bite and chose a Margherita pizza (€9) and added mushrooms (€1). When the bill arrived, we were surprised to see the pizza was €11.90. We decided not to ask about it cuz we liked the pizza, and it was cheap enough compared to what we would have paid back home. The beverage prices were reasonable, too. We were given free corn nuts though we opted not to have any.
The pizza was thin crust with an excellent crisp without the burnt at top or bottom. There is a gentle chew to the pizza texture that is satisfying without being filling or overwhelming. The pizza sauce leans towards being mildly seasoned, closer to tomato-y, not as rich as a pasta sauce. The cheese is light and evenly spread with a long-stringy pull.
The overall experience would have been 5 stars. With the different-than-posted price, I'm calling it 4 stars.
