The owner, Juan, and his wife were very nice and hospitable.. and very funny. All the fish was fresh and the owner told us about each dish. He was so excited about it all, which made the experience that much more fun. He had me trying all kinds of fish. Highly recommend Taberna San Juan. If you ever find yourself in Almería, make your way here. You will not regret it.

The staff are very friendly and the place has a relaxing and welcoming feel as well as being superbly decorated. But the big let down were the toilets, no toilet paper and when we asked for some more it never happened, the bin was overflowing with paper which had spilled out all over the floor so obviously it had not been cleaned for a while! It's a shame that it was badly let down by the toilet!
