He has run the shop on the island for 12 years after 20+ years in England. The shop is an utter mess. Books everywhere. Wine bottles everywhere. A lost hat, dripping from a book in the front. A teacup, dirty or clean? Who knows but perched around Russian Lit. A great find? Probably but he only knows where a few things are. We spent an hour hunting through primarily nothing special but left with an adorable children's book. Not before discussing the owner's grandchildren and the sad state of American politics. All the while, our friend is coughing and my husband was convinced he will likely die one day amongst the shelves and the lady shop owners nearby will play not iT for who calls the authorities. Seriously, it was so delicious visiting this bookstore. You will be glad you take a few minutes to support the shopkeeper and have the time of your life will doing it. Call ahead for hours.

El chico al darse cuenta del precio que había comprado el libro me dijo que tenía que revisar una cosa del pedido!!! Me llamó al rato para decirme que me anulaba el pedido por no estar disponible. MENTIRA!! A los dos días me volví a meter en la web y sii los tiene disponibles a un precio mucho más elevado. Lo llamé para decile que me sentia estafada y su forma de hablarme no pudo ser mas despota!! Que él no tenía porqué explicarme su trabajo. Lógicamente al ser tan mal educado le colgué el teléfono y me volvió a llamar muy indignado, nada mas faltaría que después de todo el tiempo que me hizo perder y de la manera tan MALA que tienen de tratar al cliente tenga que aguantar que me falten al respeto!!

The staff was very attentive and friendly; both English and Spanish were spoken. Highly recommend coming here if you plan to pick up some reading essentials.
