They have toilets and showers with hot water. The campground itself is very small but the parcels are relatively large in size. It is located right next to hiking trails, and wifi is available. Parcela 1 and 2 are my favorite spots because they are behind the main building and have less light shining in from the light poles at night. The town on Grazalema is a very short walk away. The only thing missing for me to give it a 5-star review, is access to fire pits or camp fires. No fire was allowed however, we were able to use our stove with butane. I will definitely be coming back.

The views are gorgeous, and I love that the boardwalk leads you to different parts of the beach, gazebos to hang out under as well as benches to take in the scenery, into the forest, and back to the city. There's also a part of the boardwalk that leads you straight to a restaurant on the beach called "Chiringuito Las Dunas." Take a walk with your loved one during sunset to enjoy the peaceful forest, views of the beach, then surprise them with the restaurant on the shore. Or walk the path first thing in the morning with some coffee before it's too hot out.

Camino Natural de Rota is a series of free, public, boardwalk paths that lead from the NW beaches…read moreof Rota, down to the Paseo Marítimo de la Costilla. Along their way, they snake through the sandy pine forests of the park for the Corrales de Rota, as well as other areas leading to roads in town, such as near the Botanical Gardens, and soccer field. The Camino follows the beach, outside the dunes, but is not always on or in view of the beach. Inside the Corrales de Rota parklands, the Camino makes meandering paths, in various directions. Every so often, a path will lead to the beach, and it will have a pagoda just on the beach, which serves as a great lookout / shelter / resting spot. These pagodas also exist along the main path leading across town to the Paseo Marítimo, but are much fewer along there. Note that while the Camino will get you to the Paseo Marítimo, and then into town, neither walkway is a direct route into the downtown or old town, so if you are intent on walking but pressed for time, I would consult a map to get there most directly along the streets. All of the paths we traveled (quite a lot) were wheelchair / stroller accessible. I cannot say if every inch of them are this way, but the majority is for sure. The paths allow dogs, bikes, joggers, and of course, walkers. Paths are accessible 24 hours. The paths and scenery of the Camino are beautiful. There is a lot of money and care invested into these paths, which add so much functionality and facility to Rota. Because of this, I was surprised and disappointed at the litter and graffiti noticeable along the trails. Neither issue was constant, but present, nonetheless. The Camino also passes an abandoned 20thC military camp, which attracts the town's homeless population. This camp is fenced in, with no access to the Camino, and there is no apparent safety concern for visitors. While there are some very cool, very old cultural treasures in Rota, I recommend the Camino Natural de Rota right up there as a top thing to do when visiting this town. They are a great way to see and feel the nature of the parks and beaches, and to watch locals enjoying their town.

At the time of this review, Sierra de las Nieves ("range of the snows") is about to become a…read moreNational Park (it became a Natural Park in 1989). In 1995, it became a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. We drove along the western border of the park, on our way from Marbella to Ronda. The views are breathtaking, and I got to see a lot of what my research on the park described of its terrain. Here is a summary about the park, from my research of various sources: The park surrounds the Sierra de las Nieves mountain range in the Málaga province, in Andalucia. La Torrecilla (1,919 m) is the highest point in the range. It also hosts one of the deepest shafts in Europe (named "GESM"). Lots of limestone in this region gives the park white cliffs, spotted with reddish iron deposits. Sierra de las Nieves has numerous caves, the most well-known are Hoyos del Pilar, Hoyos de Lifa, and Cuevas del Moro. Apparently, the name of the Park came from its snowy peaks, which used to be more plentiful than in our current (warmer) global climate. Back when, the locals stored the snow in "snowfields" and carted it down to the local towns for water. The park harbors Spanish fir forests, and the Mediterranean spruce, that dates to the glacial period in Iberia. One is 500yo, named the Escalereta, a Natural Monument. The forests also contain oaks, cork trees, wild olive trees, ash trees, junipers, carob trees and chestnut trees. **Local black pigs survive on acorns from these trees, and their cured ham (pata negra) is a local delicacy. Fauna here are typical of southern Spain, and include mountain goats, muflons, meloncillo (a kind of mongoose), roe deer, and otters. This is a destination for bird watching tours, with Griffin vultures, golden eagles, eagle owls, royal owls, goshawks and hawks. This pristine park has never been inhabited except for a smattering of villages, hence it is very unspoiled terrain. Camping is no longer permitted in the park. Park activities include, hiking, bird watching, mountain biking (with tours such as Monda-Istán), mountain climbing, and horseback-riding.

The pitches are large but mainly hard ground which is fine for caravans, but difficult for tents. The reception area has a bar which provides drinks and snacks, although it is only open in high season. There is free wi-fi in the bar area which is a bonus. The toilet blocks are clean, however the sinks only have cold water.Prices are reasonable given the proximity to the city - for 2 people and a tent it cost us 18 euro per night. Nice place for a couple of nights to visit Seville.

Good place good times.. great vibe.. Probably only really suitable for ages 10-21.. Last time i went i was around 20 and the average age groups of people were around 17-19.. Mini golf, pool, tennis, basketball.. Great beach.. Not a bad size pool either and a nightclub next door (Fata) and on the camp site next door.. Escala the local town is around 3miles away and is beautiful.. Great place to chill..
