I have been a participant in La Academia's Spanish conversation class for several years. There is consistent teaching from a skilled and personable teacher, and the stand-ins, when required, are always of the same excellent standard. The classes are a mix of general conversation about recent activities and interests and a topic for the week. The topics are supported by printed and video material and always relevant and interesting. The number of attendees is typically 4 - 8. The atmosphere is cheerful and welcoming. I recently completed a 6-week Chinese course for beginners at la Academia and really enjoyed it. I had never taken Chinese classes before, and found the pronunciation very difficult, but the teacher was very patient and helped and encouraged us all. There were 8 in my class, which was a good number, as you had plenty of time to practise speaking Chinese. read more
