The name caught my eye, the inside of the restaurant made me want to stay all day, but the hot chocolate is what stole the show. We ordered a few coffee drinks, which were so delicious, but the kids' hot chocolate was the best. It's more of a drinking chocolate, thick and rich but not too sweet. It's in a great location, right on the esplanade and directly across from the bus and train stations. Cute interior and very clean. Friendly staff. They have beautiful chocolates for sale and a great selection of baked goods. We only came for the drinks, but next time we'll get some delicious looking bakes!

We had come off the hovercraft from Southsea, crossed over the railway foot bridge onto the esplanade and we popped in here for cappuccinos. We bought some of their hand and home made chocolates to have with the cappuccinos and the coffee and chocolates were both exceptionally good. After several hours touring this fabulous island, that claims signs of habitation as far back as 350,000 years ago, a steam railway, with specialist garlic growing farms, a distillery that produces 57 proof gin and has an abbey of Benedictine monks we were ready for more great coffees. We also decided to buy a box of 24 chocolates (£25) and a half pound of organic Columbian ground coffee. We were already weighed down with far too many bottles of strong gin, various beers and a range of goodies from the wonderful garlic farm. As the lady boxed the delectable chocolates I noticed chocolate coated figs so in went some figs too. We had a great day. In fact we do this isle a disservice as we should go for a week.

I always opt for three types; one is a smooth long triangle silver wrapped chocolate and two plastic wrapped squares with whole enrobed hazelnuts (a milk one and a dark chocolate one) and they literally dissolve deliciously in the mouth. So once I filled the bag the friendly server weighs the goodies and at the tap of Revolut the deal is done. As I have a membership card I'll now get £5 off me next purchase which won't be very long away.

They sell bags with multiple chocolate bars in, hot chocolate, and mis-shapes. They also sell selection boxes at Christmas and Easter eggs around Easter. Although this is an outlet shop the prices aren't as low as you might expect. I'm sure you could buy some of the chocolate bars cheaper in a supermarket. That said the shop is handy if you are visiting the cinema and are looking for something to nibble on while watching a film. Queues can build up at the till because sometimes they don't appear to have enough staff working. However the staff do try to keep the queue lengths down if they can.

Fast and friendly breakfasts…read more Had breakfast here the other day, it was a reasonably busy day but I squeezed in and was served very quickly nonetheless. The breakfast (veggie) came with heaps of everything and bubble and squeak (at the recommendation of the waiter). Everything was bustle and fun, with service being super quick and pleasant. The only down side was the coffee, which was a touch burnt. Next time I'll have a juice.
