I called based on Yelp reviews three weeks ago, my hair is finally going grey and I started to grow it out thinking I can handle going grey, NOPE I'm not ready but I have very dark hair and also didn't want to be a slave to root touch ups so I called Nadalie and talked to her and decided instead to add highlights to help blend the in coming grey hair. First off such a convenient location right on Brookwood, second the salon was clean and breezy and an overall great vide with cool music playing in the background. She talked to me she added the color and then I waited, it was such a fun group of customers too I had a few interesting conversations while waiting for the color to be done. Have been going to Nadalie for a few years now. She gets it right every time, cut, color and style. Once I decided I wanted it a little shorter and she squeezed me back into her busy schedule to adjust with no extra charge. I have thick wavy hair and love this cut. Also, the products she uses makes me feel like my hair hasn't even been treated with color. Nadalie listens to what I want. I have long blonde hair and because of my age I need to do things a little different with it to keep it looking good. That's why I go to Nadalie at L Squared for my touch ups, I asked her to not overlap the color, and she took her time and just put the color only on my roots and made sure she didn't overlap it at all. She matches the color perfectly and she is very gentle when she washes it and Combs it out. What a huge disappointment Nadalie is at L Squared Salon. Don't waste your money or time here! Nadalie Cordova cuts and colors hair the way she wants it done, not how you want it. After years of carefully growing out my hair post cancer scare, I decided to trust a new stylist in Sonoma County. This woman and her dumb jumpsuits prefers bleach over good color, and cut my long, healthy hair into a shaggy, overbleached mess. Three times screwing it up, always full of fault-free apologies afterwards, what an expensive waste Nadalie Cordova was. If you'd like to have great hair, this is not the salon for you. My stylist was Erika! I thought she did an excellent job on my desired asymmetrical haircut. I especially loved that embraced my "natural" tight curls but gave a cut that would just as good if I decide to relax my hair in the future She's very gifted and detail- focused in her craft. So happy! I called today at 1:30pm to see if there were any openings today for a cut, I expected to hear no.. but to my surprise I was able to get in at 2:15. I used to get my hair cut here around 5 years ago and always loved the job they did. What I didn't love was how expensive it was. But you get what you pay for! I started going to the beauty college and realized that my hair was flat and I would end up with a whole day being wasted at the beauty college to get a okay haircut. Today I went and got my hair cut by Jenifer and she did such a great job! She indivually cut my spilt ends off and even gave me a mini massage while washing my hair. My hair was blow dried perfectly and all this was done in an hour and half (thats really great compared to the beauty college when a simple trim took 3 hours...) She cut and styled my hair today and I am, as always, totally happy with it, she did exactly what I asked for (and did not push me take extra services). I have been to several other stylists at L Squared and whereas everyone who has worked on my hair is totally lovely, competent and professional, Natalie is...excuse the pun...a cut above. So yes- I absolutely recommend her! Here's another wee secret- I schedule on Mondays because there's no waiting around for your appointment, you will get right in (and out - if you're always trying to get to the next appointment like me). The salon itself is easy to find especially after the first visit and there is plentiful parking. L Squared is by far the best place I have found to get my hair cut. I always see Hither, and she does a wonderful job. I started going there in 2008 when I lived in Santa Rosa. She has always been able to give me an interesting, stylish cut that is easy to maintain. After moving to SF, I searched for a new stylist, found some decent ones, but no one that compared to Hither. Nadalie is great! She took me in last minute in the evening after she had already done a blowout. We began work on my hair at 8 o'clock and stayed until one in the morning! She wanted to make sure I didn't walk out with orange hair. It was pretty difficult seeing as my hair started out as a deep red color. I'm Happy with the results, I may need to go in for one more session to soften the warm tones a bit. But she pretty much got it to a nice blonde color in one session some people try to charge you $1000 and want you to come in four times just to get it blonde which I think is absolutely ridiculous.
