High quality produce cooked " a la minute " (on order), always nicely presented, and at very competitive prices. While in the center of the small village of Condette, it is not in a tourist hot spot. But it is worth the detour for a relaxed evening dinner. The menu is typically limited to 3-5 appetizers, 3 main dishes and 3-5 dessert options. And the Chef changes the menu every 2 weeks. So always fresh and in season ! The service is elegant and efficient. Limited wine by the glass and a small list by the bottle but well curated.

La Riviere serves gourmet fairs evenings and week-ends. The "surprise" menu (40 euros /pers) depends on the Chef's inspiration and information on your food restrictions or dislikes that are communicated to the Chef. Otherwise the a la carte offers 5 appetizers including delicious roasted gambas with pesto or pan seared foie gras with beautifully contrasting rhubarb coulis. Then you can choose among 4 fish dishes including turbot and 4 meats from carre d'agneau (lamb), beef rossini (with foie gras) or ris de veau. Desserts include home made raspberry soufflet, an ever so light Napoleon. The wine list in well curated at very reasonable prices in addition to a full line of single malts, spirits and cocktail menu to choose from. The service is friendly, efficient and well coordinated. We had a great lunch. The food was delicious, elegantly presented. The service perfect in spite of the restaurant being full.
