They seated us and menus did have some English which we appreciated ( although we also have translator programs). After a 10 min wait a server came by and frantically told us the kitchen is closed and would not open until 6:30 PM. Not sure then why we got menus but maybe for drink list. We politely said we were going to leave. An employee ( manager?) asked if we'd like to order drinks and told us no other places serve food between 6:30 or 7PM). We thought this sounded fair and returned to our table. No one ever returned to take our order so we left quietly for a second time. Never to return. Was this a language barrier issue ? We're a quiet , polite group of professionals who travel frequently. Hope it wasn't something dumb based on misconceptions of our nationality. Plenty of places to eat and drink in Arles. An unfortunate mistake wasting time at this one.

Good beers although i've only tasted their bitters (don't know if they have others yet). Stop by this place to get a few brews to take away and find a good place to sit outside. It's in Cours Julien so lots of dining, shopping, music. Buy Biere de la Plaine, don't get tricked into buying the other brand of supposedly local beer (called La Cagole) which is made to look like it is made in Marseille but is not.
