I…read morehave been visiting this pub for the past couple of years and even as the staff turns over, they seem to find more great people to replace them. Very good selection of beers and the bruschetta's make a nice snack to go along with them. Also, this is one of the few places to actually have some action during the week. If you have a friend visiting you on a Wednesday, take them to the Black U. The place is a little expensive, but worth it.

Here you will not find the mega brewery BS, or the megabrewery disguised as a craft brewery, no 16, Kronenbourg, Heine@#$en (won't pronounce it) or any crap like that. Not bad if you're after a bit of Dutch courage!!!! My partner in crime who ordered a Cuba Libre (made up of dark rum representing Cuba, coke cola representing freedom / America and a cheeky wedge of lime) lamented that not much libre was happening in his particular Cuba. And all of this was said with a grimace turned grin that grew wider and wider as more of his drink was consumed! On many an afternoon once we found this little hot spot, a drink or two would help us kick the night off right! There's table service too, so just plonk yourselves down somewhere that tickles your fancy and flag down wait staff when you see them rushing past. I think depending on what time of day you pop in, they offer dishes of black olives as a free appetizer too. So basically €5 for a cocktail, a free appetizer combined with a perfect view for people watching, it really is not a bad deal at all!
