This is definitely a very local spot - I'm sure we were the only non-Parisians there - but there is some English on the menu, and the server knew English as well. THE COST: 20€ for two coffees and one brunch entree. THE SERVICE: Super nice. I sent back a drink and felt really bad about it, but our server was really sweet and just seemed concerned and asked what was wrong with it (it was the Jus Citron Gingembre - see below). I also left my backpack here and one of the servers ran a couple blocks to catch up with me and give it to me! THE WAIT: None on a Monday at 11:30am. They don't have many tables/seats and the place was about half full. By the time we left about an hour later, every table/seat was taken! THE FOOD: * Jus Citron Gingembre - 1 star This was pretty terrible, basically lightly flavored water. I would hardly call this a juice. Our server was nice about me sending this back and did offer to add more flavor to it. * Cappuccino - 4 stars It was creamy and more bitter that other cappuccinos I've had in Paris (which was good! Not too sweet). * Latte - 4 stars This was my replacement drink, and it was great! Lots of creamy foam. * Tartine - 4.5 stars Amazing!! Soft airy bread with a good thick crust, and a delicious combination cheese/honey/hummus and sweet pickled veggies (I don't even like other things!). I would never have thought all of this would taste good together, but they make it work really well!

Wine pricing is by the glass, two glasses, 4 glasses (bottle) and the last price is a bit more than that (6-8?). Silly us, Americans used to paying so much for a glass, we thought the first price (most were about 2-4 euros) was a half glass and the next size (4-7euros) was a full glass. Nope. Full glass and double that respectively. Hello, Paris. They even have "wines of the moment" that are still in the barrel and are tapped. Try one. Food was yummy all around - we tried a quiche, veggie lasagna, chicken w/citrus sauce and something else I can't remember now. Prices are great and there are usually dishes of the week as well. Menus are brought around to you on a small blackboard. They also have a full bar and this seemed to be the place to hangout after hours. They are opened til 2am every day and open early for breakfast/brunch.

On weekends, they do a delicious fried chicken brunch that is lightly breaded and comes with a full plate of colorful veggies. Anway, we have just finished visited Jim Morrison's grave and I wanted to grab a coffee before heading to our next destination, and this place was actually next to the metro station (or should I say 'a' metro station). The place was okay, as was the coffee, and the staff were quite pleasant as well. Good place for a coffee on a nice summer day, and conveniently located as well.
