Although it is located in my native city of Boulogne Billancourt, just minutes outside of Paris,…read morethis bar is the kind of bar that many flock too from kilometers away. It is very unique, and it was and still is, ahead of it's time, mostly due to the awesome staff who works there.
I discovered this phenomenal joint thanks to my oldest friend Jerome, who took me there on a nice evening, this being years ago and the second I walked in I was hooked. It was and still is to this day one of my favorite places to go out to for a drink and to talk to friends. Unfortunately I've moved out of the country years ago but my parents still live in that city and I make sure to swing by there on every trip back - alone or with friends. The staff is really friendly and sometimes recognizes me (although it has almost been a year a half now so I'm not sure they remember me at this point) and last time they even bought me a few rounds while grilling me about life in Boston.
The place isn't too big, but big enough and features both tables and some nice couches - they serve beers, all kinds of awesome mixed drinks and tapas style food which is also very good. The staff is extremely friendly, prompt and the prices are competitive. There is absolutely nothing negative in this place that I can think about - no matter how hard I try, except maybe for the fact that it is exactly 3,434 miles away from me right now... Looking forward to returning there for a drink on my next visit home. I highly recommend it! And it's just a couple of minutes away from the Marcel Sembat subway station on line 9!
Oh and did I mention that they have a giant screen which projects all kinds of stuff from soccer games to snowboarding, the Olympics or video games during the many events that they organize? There's always something happening - it's a ton of fun!
