I was drawn by the beautiful window display and the wide variety of traditional French patisseries. There is place to sit down inside but we just got some to takeaway, namely the chocolate eclairs, lemon tarts, pain au chocolat and almond croissants, rum cream eclairs and praline cream puffs. On the whole the things we ordered were well made. They were presented beautifully although the alcohol in the rum eclair was very overpowering (perhaps only so because we do not drink much at all). The lemon tart was delicious as was the pain au chocolat. I would have liked to return to try some of the other items had we stayed longer in Nantes and I would definitely say it's worth a visit, though if you are not used to alcohol perhaps stay away from the rum eclairs!

I wanted to try the main plates but I wasn't hungry. All the ingredients are Bio and fresh. They just serve lunch, but the coffee, beer and wine, and grocery are available until night and late on the weekends. I will definitely be back! The service is excellent. They are very friendly and attentive. There are hardly any places to get coffee on the Ile de Nantes, but this place is perfect. It is the only place I have found with a strong wifi connection, great coffee and a cool ambience. The decor is so charming and inviting. There is a bar area and I another upstairs spot for eating or drinking coffee and using your laptop/ reading. There is a small outside patio seating too. The location is right in the heart of the Ile de Nantes, just a few steps from the Loire and the bridge connecting to downtown Nantes. I have been looking all over Nantes for a place like this. I'll be back!
