I love this small, customer-oriented, and local feed store. I've been getting my animal feed here for years. The price of my dogs feed has had several price increases from the manufacturer. And every time the price increases, L&J will eat the cost of the increase for the next few purchases because they want us to have enough notice of the increase. And the last price increase they gave me several $5 off manufacturer coupons to help me keep cost low. Jodie is awesome at customer service and just a kind lady all around. The employees were extremely rude on more than one occasion. We tried to set up a special order on feed, and that if the order was not in when expected they would drive to their other location and pick it up for us. When we came in to pick it up, we were told we had never set up the order, and that no they would not go get our feed. We had to drive 2 hours to pick up more feed so our animals would not go without. Yesterday when we went in to buy local hay they told us they were out, but they had orchard grass. I told them no, I could not buy orchard grass as I was allergic to it. They told me I was stupid and that if I was allergic to one type I would be allergic to them all that there was no way that THEIR orchard grass would make me react any worse than the local hay. For a fact I AM more allergic. I can handle the local type of grass with only very minor irritation, and the Orchard hay will cover me in hives, and cause me to need benadryl or I will also have difficulty breathing. This approach of the customer is always wrong is unprofessional and they were just rude. I will never go there again. read more
