I have found the service kind, however, one specific time I was told to sit anywhere when I was there for brunch with a group of three. We sat down and had ordered when someone different came over and told us the table was reserved. We were then moved to a table clearly made for only two people. There was no signage on the table that it was reserved and the server didn't seem particularly happy we hadn't known this. Other than this time, the service has always been kind and I always enjoy the food.

Great coffee and food in Aix. As good as a good American coffee shop…read more Located in the center city, a very nice coffee shop inside with plenty of USB and power connections and free Wi-Fi. They ask you not to work there at certain hours (very fair) but it is set up for you to do so! Staff is all multi lingual in French and English, or at least enough to get by, and they even have an English language menu. Don't worry, the food is high quality French and the coffee is superb. You of course get the typical for France espresso, but you can also get French Press, drip, and other styles of coffee. Overall, just a pleasure to visit and enjoy

Oops! I think this may come out in the wrong category..I do apologise…read more This cafe is not a five star gourmet restaurant, but it does do great food, as well as coffees and alcohol at any time. It is the bottom half of a typical French house; long windows with shutters and juliet balconies. It's part of a terrace on the waterfront, house and cafes all jumbled as only the French can do. Like the rest of village, the cafe appears sleepy, with perhaps a couple of patrons sitting in the sun with a coffee or carafe of wine. Inside, it is surprisingly cool and although simply furnished, you some how fel at ease. The barman will greet you in French - Var, similar to Marseillase. Talking liking wide mouthed frogs (no pun intended but please enjoy the humour). A pleasant man, he is not insulted by any mistakes you may make in his language and will patiently repeat his dialect until you understand. The food here is great. A small menu, but sooo beautifully done. Once, I was here while expecting my daughter, and once I had tried the moules, I was a goner. Every where we went, I had moules nearly every time! (The French think we are quite mad, avoiding certain food during pregnancy.) So here is a great place to watch the marina, the ferry come and go, and the occasional child being called to.
