Came here with some local turkish friends and was not disappointed. This area is so cute, I had never been in my previous trips to Istanbul. All of the restaurants have outdoor seating on this long pedestrian only street. According to my friends this area is popular with Turkish Tourists. We didnt sit down till 11pm on a Tuesday night, but most of the places were still bustling.
We ordered some Efes beer, some Raki, and a bunch of mezze to share, and it was all delicious. I wish we ate like this in the US, sharing a bunch of small things to fill you up. The service was nice and efficient, and the whole meal for the three of us (we ate and drank a lot) was only like $70 US dollars.
Not sure if they waiters speak English or how it would be to come here as a legit tourist with no language skills, but if you are in the area give it a try! Or one of the many other seafood-type restos in this cute little street. read more
