I have been at this hotel twice already. Locals tell me it's the best in the area. Surely not to…read morecompare with a Holiday Inn or such but it meets all the standards a German privately owned hotel should have.
Location: this property is located a little inconvenient as it is not exactly too close to the downtown area of Döbeln. I would estimate a walking time of 30-40 minutes. By car it's easy to get there. Free parking is available for the guest and there's a bus stop close by and a train station. Some rooms are located a bit inconvenient as there's a road going by and it could be bothersome, at least it was for me.
Room: I was in two single rooms and they are quite small which is normal with those sort of hotels. They were big enough for the purpose and had a pretty sweet interior. They also were very clean which is a great thing. The single beds were a bit small for my size (6'6") but I made it work.
Food: I had their breakfast. Some people say that it's average but I have stayed at some hotels before with same qualities and had way less to choose from. Their little breakfast room is really nice. A good and delicious meal before you start your day. I absolutely loved it.
I would recommend this place. If you're used to American style hotels, be warned, this one is exactly how a german privately owned place is. But it's in good hands and has a nice flair to it. Thanks to the lady at the front desk who ran after me when I forgot my phone charger at my room, by the way!
Danke an die Dame der Rezeption die mir damals mein Handy Kabel noch zum Auto gebracht hatte!
