While there were plenty of tourists in town when we went, not too many of them seemed to be coming up to see this, but I could see it becoming overwhelmed in busier months. There is a small fee and it really is just one small room that you may only need five minutes at most to see it and show your respects to the centuries of Hallstatt's civilians who are buried here.

While visiting the museum you should inquire about the Tunnels and the memorial tunnel tour as well as visiting the actual camp site. Staff was not helpful when I was there in directing me to the actual concentration camp site and it took a lot of driving around and google searches to find it. I have since added it to yelp with its location.
