Charles Perth Pearson Property Claims attorney…read more Title: Disappointing Experience I worked with attorney Charles Pearson on a homeowner-insurance matter after a fallen tree severely damaged my home during the bomb cyclone. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. In my opinion, Mr. Pearson's representation fell below reasonable expectations of professionalism and client advocacy. I frequently felt that he did not fully understand or apply Washington insurance law and had to cite laws over and over. I often had to complete or correct work myself and was ultimately left without representation (because he quit) at a pivotal stage in my case. During the appraisal process, Mr. Pearson did not act in my favor. He did not hire a structural engineer, even though our written agreement stated that his office would retain and manage necessary professionals. The public adjuster he selected, Adam Blagg, performed poorly in my experience and often seemed to act in ways that were unhelpful or even contrary to my interests. I was left to coordinate critical tasks on my own while deadlines were approaching. This left me in financial and personal peril. Mr. Pearson did not help us with our ALE as he promised. IMO, He was weak with the insurance company and did not make the demands needed for our living arrangements. Leaving without the ALE we needed. Communication was inconsistent and fragmented. I sometimes went weeks without updates or responses. Important issues--such as expert coordination, requests for extensions, and protection during appraisal--were, in my view, mishandled. I later learned that disclosure of professional liability insurance, which clients have a right to request, was not provided. When I raised my concerns directly and asked for a resolution, the situation worsened. Mr. Pearson suggested that speaking publicly about my experience could lead to legal and financial consequences. I found this deeply troubling and, in my opinion, intimidating. I have since filed formal complaints with the appropriate state bars to have the matter reviewed through professional channels. (Perhaps this is why there are no other negative reviews about Charles??) This review reflects my personal experience and opinions, supported by correspondence and documentation. I am making complaints with Washington, Oregon, Florida, and Georgia, where he states has an active licenses. I strongly encourage anyone considering this attorney to verify bar status in all states claimed, confirm malpractice coverage in writing, and ensure clear expectations and communication from the outset, knowing he is out for him and NOT you.

I have been a State Farm client for over 30 years. Recently, my agent of the past 15 years must…read morehave retired or relocated because when I needed him, he wasn't there. Now this is not the fault of Mr. Merrion. I don't make a habit of checking or even reading most of my mail. Especially correspondence related to insurance. I suspect if I had, I would have known about my new agent. What I thought I needed was a copy of my insurance cards for my auto policy emailed to me so that I could go through DEQ and not get a ticket should I get pulled over for speeding again. Turns out some junkie stole my catalytic converter and made a mess of the undercarriage of my vehicle and the financial damage was over $2,000.00. So naturally, I filed an insurance claim and filed a police report. Thing is, I delivered my vehicle to Everette Street Autoworks at 8:00 am just as I told the insurance adjuster I would and fully expected that adjuster to be there as promised to inspect my vehicle, approve the repairs so I could get the shop moving on the repair. None of that happened that day. I reached out to Joshua to express my frustration and he was able to get the claims process in motion. My vehicle is currently being repaired. We had a phone appointment set up to go over my current coverages yesterday before I was even aware of my loss. Joshua explained my auto and condo coverages to me in easy to understand terms. Made some recommendations for changes that made a lot of sense and I feel more secure now than I did before. State Farm is far more affordable than all other competitors, Joshua provides excellent customer service and is approachable and available. 2021 - Review # 3
