We had come here for basic maintenance on a regular basis for a few years. One week ago, my fiance took her 2012 Elantra in for an oil change. The folks there convinced her she needed a full engine flush for well over $200. Upselling is annoying, but good consumers should be able to handle it. However, Hyundai has released two technical service bulletins specifically saying they do not recommend engine flushes, and that having one may void the power train warranty. This means that these car experts pushed to sell an expensive service on her that the manufacturer says could be harmful to her car. Unconscionable. I will never go here again. The reviews below about the new management must be right. These guys are untrustworthy (knowingly sold a harmful service) , or incompetent (weren't aware of the two technical service bulletins). Terrible overall customer service. Attendant did not ask type of oil I preferred nor did he check the sticker that showed synthetic was used the previous time before completing the oil change. I now have standard oil in my car for the first time as a result. I asked the attendant to put air in my tires when he did the rotation. I noticed as I drove away that the sensor still showed that the passenger side tires were low, but the drivers side was now at the recommended level. I returned the the station to ask the attendant to double check the pressure on the passenger side. He was rude and short and said he had already filled the tires to the pressure I requested. I asked if he could double check. He quickly checked the pressure with a gauge and told me, "36 like said" and walked off into the garage. His mannerisms and tone were completely uncalled for. Do not recommend this Kwik car. I was told my car needed to have fuel engine flush because it was supposed to be done at 15,000 miles. Which as it turns out is a bold face lie. I had to contact multiple other mechanics who said it was unnecessary unless the oil ran out, which it did not. Attempt to contact the owner of the shop and I was told he is not available. When I asked why I was sold this the mechanic asked me about the dip stick I was shown. I informed him I was not actually shown a dip stick. My fault for taking a "professional" at his word. Definitely do recommend this place, you will get taken advantage of--especially if you go in as a single woman. read more

I was so thankful that their business is seven day a week, including this long weekend of the labor day. I visited my friend on the Saturday. By evening, my Eclipse decided not to start. I'd thought that (I and) my car would have to stay in the area until Tuesday, after the labor day to get my car fixed. Luckily, I found the shop with the help from my friend. I called slightly before the business hour; my call was picked up by James. And, he couldn't be more helpful. He found the problem in no time, explained everything in detail, and provided me with options. Went for a simple oil change and was in and out in 20 minutes. Probably the best oil change experience I've had in a while, they do try to get you to replace your air filter and flush fluids etc. but they aren't rude about it when you say no. Highly recommended! read more

I have been going to this location for a couple of years now. The Technicians here are always friendly and thorough. I used to be leery of garage mechanics asking me if they could check something because that usually meant an upsell even if it wasn't need, but I don't feel that way here. The guys here are truly interested in making sure all my maintenance items are up to speed, and they have kept both my cars in good mechanical shape at prices I couldn't get anywhere else. Two Big Thumbs Up, Five Golden Stars, and this is the ONLY place I would ever let my wife "drop off the car" for service, and feel comfortable that I wasn't going to get over charged for something. read more

I own a new vehicle with less than 15,000 miles on it, and ONLY use Mobil 1 synthetic oil. The owners manual suggests I can change the oil every 10,000 miles with conventional motor oil, but I change it every 5,000 miles with fully synthetic. Needless to say, I go above and beyond preventative maintenance when it comes to my oil changes. When I brought it in to this place for an oil change and sat in the lobby, they came in and tried to upsell me on a new air filter (no thanks, just shake out the dust). But THEN they came in and tried to tell me that there was already build up in my engine and that I needed a transmission flush. I find it insulting and offensive that you would even attempt to tell me I need a transmission flush on a vehicle with 15,000 miles on it, and I feel sorry for the people that fall for it and fork over the cash. Never again. Stay away from this franchise, at ANY location. read more

Pretty sure there is some shady business going on here. The mechanic that was working with me gave me differing stories for various things that were wrong with my car. When challenged he would backtrack on his words. I cancelled the services he was going to perform on my vehicle, outside of an oil change that had already begun, and will be taking my car somewhere else. (This was also the most expensive oil change I've ever had). He said that he was obligated to perform the additional services since my car was already in the bay. I call bull crap. Give me my keys, I'm leaving. He told me that my battery wasn't working well. My battery is in fine shape, I've never had a single issue, never leave lights on, radio on etc... He said he had to jump my car before I left. Then reassured me that "usually when people never have an issue with a car part, it almost always happens here in the shop. We can replace the battery right now." Umm. No, absolutely not. Just another car repair shop that preys on women and people who are not well versed in their own car repair. As I left the shop, I noticed my interior light on. It was off then I handed the in my keys for an oil change. I will not be using this location in the future and will be educating myself, further, on the repairs needed for my own vehicle. I recommend that you do the same. read more

They insisted that all of my wipers were torn up and that I wouldn't receive an PASS for my state inpection unless I purchased replacement. It has recently rained and they did not have anything wrong with them. When I said this, the man seemed to clam up but assured me they could show me the damaged blades. The only way they were torn is if they took a razor to them. Unfortunately, I saw after my visit that ither reviewers have said the same thing. This place is a scam and I will not return. read more

Upcharged my wife for fluids services the mfg manual didn't recommend when she took it in for an oil change. Said fluids were low for a fluid you replace, not refill. It's a shame because she was trying to surprise me by doing me the favor. Definitely wouldn't recommend this place. read more

The price is reasonable as long as they don't try and talk you into many other unnecessary things than what you came for. I'm a new resident to Texas just moved here from Ga. So I had to get the car saftey and emissions test done so I could register my car in Texas. I took it to Kwik Kar. I was seated for while in the waiting room. When another couple came in for the same test and came and went. Naturally at that point I was wondering why my test was taking so long. I and the person with me looked through the glass and saw the guy messing around with my car door. He came in sometime later and said the car passed and took payment for the test. He then drove the car around to the front. I tried to open my car door only to find the door handle loose and not able to open the door. We told the guy who did the test and he was rather unresponsive. So we left and called the manager and were told the general manager would called us to address the issue. He did the next day and said they were not going to cover the cost of the damages their employee caused. I now have to have someone enter the car from the passenger side and reach over to open my door from the inside or I have to enter from the passenger side and crawl over. I feel this company should cover the cost to fix my door handle. Nice how a saftey test can manage to make your car less safe! Some welcome to Texas! read more

I will start this review off by saying the 3 stars is for how quick I was in and out when i went to have my state inspection done, 20 mins max total, however my service advisor Vernon was extremely adamant about me paying cash. He asked me when I pulled up if I was gonna pay cash or credit and I told him i could do either. He then suddenly had a peppy attitude and mentioned me paying cash a couple more times. I started to catch on and feel like he was suggesting it so strongly so he could pocket the cash. I quickly decided I would use my card instead. When Vernon was finished with my inspection which couldn't have taken more than 7 minutes to complete, he drove my car back around to the front, stayed in the driver seat and said from the window inside my car what my total was and was waiting for me to hand him cash, super weird this is where he wanted to do our transaction. I told him i wanted to pay with my card, he gets out of my car and leaves my door open and car running while we go inside to pay. He starts talking about how the credit card machine only works when it wants to (or when he wants it to apparently) and he says "Go ahead and stick it in and see if it works" Vernon had not yet entered anything into the computer so of course the machine did nothing when I stuck my card in. He then said "see I know this thing, it's like clockwork" then he proceeds to tell me "it's gonna take a while" he then sees I'm not budging on wanting to use my card and he starts to enter my information into the computer and then enters the amount to be paid and prompts me to insert my CC. No surprise it works perfectly this time! His attitude completely changed for the worse. He threw my receipt and a pen on the counter and expected me to know where to sign. Then I said thank you as I was leaving and not even a peep of a "you're welcome" from Vernon. Beware of paying cash for state inspection here. They are just pocketing your money. read more
