Finding this little deli was one of the high points of my time in Aarhus. It's tucked away on a…read morelittle side street in Hasle, next to a great bakery as well. I loved stopping in and checking out all of the little smørrebrød. It was also a great place to practice some Danish. "Jeg vil gerne har en smørrebrød med røget laks, tak." On my final visit there, I discovered my favorite smørrebrød topping: smoked cheese. So delicious. And the smørrebrød is cheap, too! (Not always the case for Denmark.) I found this place a couple days before it was locked up for summer vacation, so I got only a little taste (quite literally) before they were closed for a few weeks. Fortunately I was in town long enough to be around for the re-opening, so I made sure to be there on that day. Anyway, if you're in the area, definitely check out this hidden gem.
