SOOOO many places to eat in the Philippines! So where to go? Kuya J's is a great place to stuff your face. Huge plus for me they take credit card!
Prices are very comparable to the food court prices. You can have a full meal for 150p. But if you really want to go buck wild then order a variety of dishes in the family style portions. More expensive. You can't really go wrong with any of the selections so try one of each section.
If you like pork I recommend the Crispy Pata because it's generally difficult to prepare yourself and pretty expensive in the U.S.
For beef, grab the Caldereta. It's a little spicy but amazing.
Can't go wrong with either desserts.
Only thing I didnt like was the Iced Tea. I guess I have an American tongue but it tasted so weird to me. Was like a weird powder mix Ice Tea flavored TANG drank.
I did absolutely LOVE the cucumber juice. Was so refreshing and HUGE.
3 family style dishes. 2 large bowls of rice. 2 pitchers of Ice Tea flavored TANG, a cucumber juice, and 2 desserts set me back 2200p. 40ish USD. Tad more expensive if you family style but if you have USD or Euros who cares?
If you're looking to take a break from Chowking and Jollibee then Kuya J's is a great alternative.
ENJOY!!!
