Instead they shut it down with issues that they plan to address in the future. The office manager is rude and instead of hearing my issue insists I'm wrong. I've used the dentist office for years, however, the way I was treated this year has driven me to shift my dental needs elsewhere. It's a shame that they respond to someone seeking understanding of the billing the way they did. I have insurance and the cost wasn't an issue-- I just had questions.

There was a noticeable sense of clique-like behavior and, more importantly, a repeated lack of professionalism and consideration for our time. My spouse needed an emergency repair for a chipped tooth. Fallon Family Dental was unable to accommodate him, which we completely understood, we recognize that dental offices can be busy. We decided to contact another dentist, but they needed his X-rays and dental records in order to schedule an appointment. I contacted Fallon Family Dental and specifically requested that his X-rays and records be sent to the new dental office. During the first follow-up call, I was asked, "Is it really that important?" I explained that yes, it was important and asked that they please send them immediately. I was told they would be sent within the hour. They were not. I had to call back multiple times. Eventually, I asked them to send the records while I remained on the phone. I was told they had been sent, so I believed the matter had finally been resolved. It wasn't. The new dental office later informed us that Fallon Family Dental had only sent an X-ray of ONE tooth, rather than the requested records and imaging. At that point, we signed the necessary HIPAA authorization so the new dentist could request the records directly from Fallon Family Dental. Even then, the new dental office contacted Fallon Family Dental four separate times requesting the records and X-rays. We were told that one set had been sent, but the remaining records had not. Ultimately, we had to physically drive to Fallon Family Dental ourselves to request our records. When we did, we were told that nothing had been requested, despite the new dental office having contacted them multiple times. This entire process was unnecessarily difficult and required repeated phone calls, coordination between two dental offices, and ultimately a trip in person simply to obtain our own dental records. Because of this experience, we cancelled our future appointments with Fallon Family Dental. Again, our issue is not with the dentists themselves. It is with the repeated communication problems, dismissive treatment, and apparent lack of follow-through from the front office. Complete disregard for our time. Dental care requires trust. Patients should be able to expect that their records will be handled accurately and that reasonable requests will be taken seriously and followed through on. I would encourage anyone considering this Dentist office to take our experience into consideration before establishing care.
