Something is off about this. We always door dashed with no issue. So the door dash app allows to choose sweetness level, like most boba spots. However, when i selected 70% for mango slush, it was overpoweringly sweet to the point my 8 year old refused to drink. And mine was 0% sugar taro tea, and was also sweet ( not overpowering but sweet enough to be considered a sweet drink :() . Very disappointed because these drinks are not cheap. Never had an issue to adjust sweetness in other boba spots and isnt that a thing with boba places? And if drinks arent customizable, they need to remove that option from the door dash app. read more

Kung Fu Tea is one of my favorite bubble tea franchises. Their tapioca pearls are top tier! The Fort Lee location is my go to. I've been coming here for over 6 years to get my boba fix. The workers are friendly and work efficiently, even during peak times. The drinks are consistently good. Depending on my mood, I usually order the almond milk tea, lychee punch, or passion fruit green tea. They have all of your run of the mill flavors and drinks: milk teas, classic teas, punches, slushes, etc. They're always adding fun new drinks to the menu every season. It's gotten pricier now, almost $7 for a drink. Toppings/add-ins are almost a dollar :/ But their tapioca is on another level, so I never skip on adding it. They cook it in longan honey, so it's much sweeter than the ones at other places. If you have a huge sweet tooth like me, you'll love it! I always order through the app and I recommend doing this because you can get rewards for every $ spent. I've been to the Hoboken and American Dream locations that do not look like this one so I was pleasantly surprised! I found this location through the KFT app, which I use to order ahead of time. The Fort Lee location is situated inside the Washington Bridge Plaza near the GWB. As you can see in the picture, this is not the color taro bubble tea is supposed to be--it's clearly meant to have that iconic purple hue, not whatever this is. On top of that, it was so milky I couldn't even finish it, which says a lot because I was really craving it. While the ambiance was nice, it didn't make up for how poorly the drink was made. Then when I stumbled on this location I was happy as this Kung Fu Tea produced the quality I had grown accustomed to. Then I later found out that they are a chain that can be found in many places. While I'm open to trying all combinations, milk or slush, I tend to order a passion fruit or a mango slush with regular boba. And it has always been delicious and great. Ordering is pretty easy, you can do pick up or have them deliver. You can do this with the app or call ahead. I generally call ahead for pickup. There is plenty of parking as this location is in a strip mall. I ordered online via the app and they quoted me a 20 minute wait. I walked into the store 10 minutes after I placed my order just to see if I'd get lucky and it worked! The barista was just finishing up my order (it was going through the sealing machine) and I was able to pick it up. Orders were made properly and staff were very nice. Kung Fu Tea is a franchise that can be found in multiple locations throughout the USA. Personally their Fort Lee location is convenient for me and is my go to spot, however I've also frequented their location in Montclair. The Fort Lee location is smack dab in a plaza so ample parking whenever you get a craving, no need to search which is always nice. The service varies from time to time, but I can always say that the staff is respectful of their customers. The order process is fairly easy even with all the delicious flavors and add ons they carry. Personally I want to try it all out, on multiple occasions I'll ask the cashier what their favorite drink is to try out something new and to be honest I have yet to be disappointed. Kung Fu Tea is like the Starbucks of bubble tea. It's not the cheapest, nor is it the best, but it'll satisfy your craving. Also like Starbucks, Kung Fu Tea has plenty of drink options and different ways for you to customize your drink. I usually order an iced Honey Green Tea (regular sweetness, less ice) with boba. My orders have been consistently correct and I've always been served with a smile. There is a bathroom and it's clean (much like most Starbucks). There are plenty of seats if you choose to enjoy your drink in-store. What more can you ask for from a bubble tea place? Unfortunately, Kung Fu Tea is not as ubiquitous as Starbucks is.
