Second time visiting Kuma pies, terrible, over cooked and pasty was dry. Majority of pasties were darkened and dried out. Kuma pies were much better with pervious owners. read more

Best pies in Cooma! Excellent meat pies, and that vanilla slice was perfect. Other pastries look good as well, if I would stay here longer I would need to replace my wardrobe! Note, there is seating for about about a dozen (Covid distancing) in the room behind the shop! read more

Located on the main road next to the beautifully maintained Art Deco Alpine Hotel, this little gem sure packs a punch in a wad of pastry. Wonderfully old fashioned country service awaits you in the little shop, bursting with sweet and savoury goodies. There's seating out on the footpath where you can watch the world (and country traffic) roll by, or a quiet room in the back, out of the sun or cold. Let's face it, it can get cold in Cooma! Tea for one is leaf, not a soggy bag. Coffee packs a decent punch. The pies are a very reasonable size and contain real chunks of meat and/or vegetables that you can identify -- no snouts and entrails here. Plenty of street parking and there are banners out the front, so you can miss it as you cruise on through, perhaps on your way to the snowy mountains. Worth the visit for handmade with care pastry goodness. read more

I came here solely for a Vanilla Slice. This place has three layers of biscuit, two layers of custard sandwiched between the three, and topped with a thick layer of icing. It's divine. The service is good (two ladies at the time I was there) and even though the slice was reasonably expensive at $6.50, it filled me up and I haven't tasted better. Haven't tried the pies, maybe next time. read more
