The shop the tucked away in the back of a plaza, not easy to spot. The shop itself is pretty small, not much of an options and most of the HotWheels are overpriced. Regular HotWheels are $5 each, HotWheels premium/ boulevards are $20plus. They got some jadatoys 1:24, limited options for miniGT, but of course they are overpriced!! But most of the overpriced die casts are nothing special, you could probably find them in your local Target, Walmart, DollarTree or even Amazon for way less. The dude who works behind the counter ignored us the entire time, even when we greeted him. Definitely not worth the visit, will not return.

One of the worst selling experiences I've had at a record store…read more I dealt directly with one of the owners, AJ, and the entire interaction felt disrespectful, evasive, and extremely shady. I brought in records to sell and simply asked what he was valuing a couple of them at individually. Instead of giving me a straight answer, he got defensive, kept saying he could find them elsewhere, and repeatedly tried to steer the conversation back to one bundle price. The biggest red flag was my East Side Story record. AJ clearly had a strong interest in it, but when I asked what he valued that specific record at, he still refused to give me a direct number. If you know enough about a record to specifically want it, you should be able to tell the person standing in front of you what you're valuing it at. I do not care if a store offers me less than market value. Businesses need to make money and I understand that completely. What I do care about is transparency. Don't act like someone is stupid just because they're young. Don't dodge basic questions and expect someone to blindly accept a bundle price without understanding what you're assigning value to. The whole interaction left me feeling like he was hoping I didn't know what I had so he could get a much better deal for himself. If your prices and offers are legitimate, there should be absolutely no reason to be secretive when a customer asks how you arrived at them. Being an owner doesn't give you an excuse to talk down to people, become defensive over basic questions, or make a customer feel like you're trying to pull one over on them. Young does not mean naive. I knew enough to ask questions, and the fact that those questions were met with attitude instead of answers told me everything I needed to know. I walked out with my records, and I'm glad I did.

What makes this F.Y.E stand out compared to its competitors in the general area is their stock and outstanding staff. Stock: Always fully stocked with the latest released items. Exclusives are relatively easy to find. Store is very well organized into sections displaying the latest trending merch. You can tell the staff put a lot of time and effort into organizing their store. As a new collector, it makes it comfortable and fun going into store and finding what I want. New shipments tend to drop every Wednesday afternoon/evening. Staff: F.Y.E employs really friendly and dedicated staff members. During my first visit, the store manager was very informative about what products they had and encouraged to call in to check stock. Finding what I needed was made so much easier with the help of their wonderful team.

I like looking for Stitch items and going through their Funko Pop Figures to find ones I haven't seen elsewhere. There are all sorts of items at this store ... mugs, records, keychains, door mats, plushes, books, CDs/DVDs, clothing and much more. The people working here are friendly, asking if I need help finding something. This location is pretty spacious, just like the one that closed at the Great Mall.

The vinyls were grouped by music genre. They were in better shape than the $2 piles. The $2 vinyls weren't sorted, so it was fun to see what was available. As we were paying, the owner said that he regularly rotates what's out. Would come back to browse again! I found out about this place when I had purchased a few vinyls over at Minasan in Japantown and was told they were sourced from here. There is a small parking lot in the front, which was empty at the time, otherwise there is street parking nearby. There is a middle school nearby so the streets might be busier when school gets out.

And not just musicians, but there are local artists items for sale in the front shop; there is a podcast growing out of this location; and there is lots of mentoring, growth, inspiration, and the what every artist looks for, great after hour hangs with like minded folx. I'm a fan of the space because the acoustics are always just right, and the lighting is vibrantly cozy. There is no bad seat in the house, and I can always find a place to slink into the back drop of events, even though it's hard to show up here and not engage in some friendly conversation with the regulars. It's the way my artist friends rave about this place that also makes me recommend it to anyone looking for a new venue to hear local music, or tell visiting artists about it. I feel confident that you are going to watch a quality show, have a good time, drink some REALLY good beer, and if you like tater tots, order The King Tut tots (they always hit for me). But in all seriousness, this is a venue that is more than just an establishment. So I'm curious if it also serves as a meeting place for community groups. I'd love to see this place used to really bring all walks of life together, not just those who are musically inclined, artistic, or a consumer of the two. Because there is something magical about the history behind SLG Art Boutiki & Gallery's inception, and the walls are full of tales that need to be told to keep its story alive in San Jose. The staff behind the counter were nice and easygoing, which helps because since nearly everything is behind a counter, you need to ask for assistance if you want to really browse. Fortunately, the guy helping me out was happy to scoot toy boxes aside for me all day long. My buddy and I spent about 90 minutes in this place, and there was still stuff we didn't see.
