The cookies in my ice cream sandwich were stale and tasted store bought. Definitely not sweet or fresh or good at all.
The woman got REALLY offended when I asked to sample the ice cream flavors. It was my first day in Norway and i had never seen brown cheese before, so I had wanted to sample that flavor of ice cream before ordering but she got really angry at me when I asked about doing that, and kept just telling me it tasted like the cheese. And then I would explain how I'd never had the cheese. And she would get mad and the cycle would continue before i just stopped her and ordered the cheesecake flavor. It was ok, but not great. She asked me if I wanted toppings so I said yes and got the sea salt and the jam. The jam definitely was the only thing that transformed the cheesecake ice cream into being good, so that was a good move. The sea salt was a wasted few dollars cause I couldn't taste it at all, but oh well.
There isn't really seating in the place so I had to take my ice cream to the streets, which was messy when it's an ice cream sandwich. But again oh well.
Overall, it was one of the most disappointing things I've eaten in a city with generally really good food. And after being in Oslo for a month, she is still by far the only rude and mean Norwegian I've met. It's a shame to think that other tourists might go there and be treated so badly, and then maybe think that all Norwegians are like that. I hope she finds a job that's not in the service industry.
Anyway, don't waste your time. Not a good experience in any way, especially those bland cookies.
