Enttäuschung pur - nie wieder! Ich hatte mich wirklich auf das Kürbisfest am Himmel gefreut, aber was hier geboten wird, steht in keinem Verhältnis zum hohen Eintrittspreis. Schon der Eintritt ist eine Frechheit - für das, was man drinnen geboten bekommt, ist das Geld einfach rausgeworfen. Das Essen war dann der nächste Schock: völlig überteuert und geschmacklich eine Katastrophe. Auf den Fotos im Internet sieht alles appetitlich aus, aber in Wirklichkeit bekommt man lieblos angerichtete Portionen, die kaum essbar sind. Insgesamt ein extrem enttäuschendes Erlebnis - reine Geldmacherei ohne Herz und Qualität. Wirklich schade, denn aus so einem schönen Thema hätte man viel mehr machen können. read more

Last year a group of friends and I went to the annual Pumpkinfest at Am Himmel. This fun fest is located at Am Himmel between the Oktogon cafe and the Lebensbaumkreis with a beautiful overlook of Vienna and the vineyards of the 19th District. Am Himmel is reachable by car, hiking, biking, or with the 38A bus to the end station and then a short walk from the Cobenzl Farm. It is a kid friendly event and is rain or shine. This festival is all things fall and pumpkin in Austria! There are plenty of gourds and pumpkins to pick from and the market is full of pumpkin oil, pumpkin seed products, various products from the Steiermark, food, music, hot cider and punch. I recommend bringing a shopping bag along! This year's fest occurs on Saturday October 26th and Sunday the 27th from 10am-6pm. read more
