The workers here were very rude when asked to get a shirt on display but not on the shelf. Do not recommend buying apparel here.

I arrive home with my purchase and immediately there is mold growing on the top of the cans and plastic holder. It was a green/silver very fuzzy mold. The ale came out of the cooler in which all there beer is displayed for sale. Obviously no one is expected to purchase moldy goods let alone drink from a container that is a medium for mold. I took the ale back to the store along with the receipt. I showed the mold to the service clerk and without offering an apology he simply stated they can't refund nor exchange any alcoholic beverages. I showed the person the mold on the cans and asked that I simply receive a different six pack of equal value or have my money returned to me. The clerk stated they cannot refund nor exchange alcoholic products. He never offered an apology only what they can't do. I then told him to find the store manager and let him/her straighten this out. So the clerk gets on the Public Address system and asks that a Mister something (I didn't catch the last name) please come to the service counter. Within a minute a 25 year old looking man comes up and asks what he can do for me. I explained the problem as well as showing him the mold. Again, no apology but simply he stated what they can't do. I asked if it was store policy to sell moldy products to customers then tell them their out-of-luck as far as being treated fair. I mentioned to him why and how can they knowingly sell products that will make the consumer sick. Again, no apology just what they can't do. No refund and no exchange. I am out 12 dollars now. I checked the next day at a local liquor store and told the story to the owner. He laughed and stated Kroger was 100% wrong. A customer CAN return any unopened alcoholic beverage to the store the product was purchased in for either a refund or exchange. This incident makes me wonder what other products are moldy at this particular Kroger. If there is old on their cans of beer, what else in that cooler has mold on it? Do they care at all if they are selling products that are moldy? Do they even know what to do? I would caution anyone from buying anything from this store. They obviously have no clue and have shown they do not care about customers.
