WE MISS KROGER IN NC! We were meeting a friend in Greensboro for lunch and decided to drive the 90 minutes up to this location to get our Kroger fix. I don't know why we decided to patronize them since the reason they closed all the NC locations was to break the employee's union and many lost their pensions that they were so close to getting. Oh, well, crazy us! The store is typical Kroger all the way. We actually came here for one of their types of toilet tissue specifically that we found at one of their knock off stores that they have in the Midwest called Ruler Foods by Kroger. They're no frills like Aldi where merchandise is just left in their shipping boxes and placed on shelves. It's stuff that either the label has been updated (as we found to be the case with the ones at this Kroger in Rocky Mount) or maybe overstock items. Anyway, we stocked up on the TP that's better than what we'd been getting at Aldi. We did get a number of other items and grumbled all the way thru the place about how the shoppers and employees in NC got cheated by the company in one way or another. Fruits and veggies are usually fresh. The staff seems pleased to help and even order merchandise. The pharmacy is excellent

This Kroger is a bit of a schlepp from my family house. We had errands nearby and stopped in. The produce is nice. The baking section is varied. There are great ice cream and dessert items. The employees are nice. read more

this kroger is a very reliable location. food good. ambiance nice. blah blah BLAH.. but there is one thing here to consider.. and it's your heart. kroger will make you feel emotions you have NEVER felt before. love . softness . yearning . and then SNAP. it will be taken away in an instant. I fell in love at this kroger. it was a man. a tall mysterious beautiful man. a WORKER for this establishment. he was so handsome I swooned instantly, he looked like if leonardo dicaprio and aphrodite had a SICK love child. I went to this kroger at every opportunity (which for granted, was not often.) just to see this man. we've made eye contact twice, but I was completely lovestruck for 2 months. last I saw him was January 24th. I miss you boo.. come home. ANYWAY. my heart was tugged in every possible direction. he just vanished out of existence. like I didn't EVEN. MATTER. and even though I am a loyal and committed woman I HAVE witnessed a multitude of handsome fellows AND ladies working here. all I'm saying is, any girl or guy could easily swoon over these employees. just saying prepare your heart AND soul before the love of your life is taken away. it happened to me.. it could happen to you.. it could happen to anyone. read more

It's a pretty typical Kroger, but the service is good and the food is fresh, plus they have a fuel center. A good choice for groceries in Rocky Mount. read more

Kroger in Rocky Mount Virginia has the absolute best produce dept. The produce dept employees far exceed in customer service over any other Kroger location or any store period. Rky Mt produce guys are setting a new standard for customer service. The rest better get their game on. read more

This Kroger has THE FRIENDLIEST staff of any Kroger I shop at. My job is in several of the surrounding areas so I shop at several Krogers. But this location is by far the best. read more

It's not gourmet heaven or for snobs, but it has wonderful, helpful people, good prices, and good sales. If you sign up for a Kroger card, you can save significantly on purchases and then later on gas at their gas station. The PS store brand line of foods are top quality. I prefer them normally to name brands. You pay extra for them but they are really good! Can't think of a down side to this store. read more

They have a great selection to chose from. The shelves are always well stocked and generally speaking check out is as good as it gets, if you do not go before 9:00 am that is, because if you do they only have self check out, and you are hard put to find a cashier available. When you buy $200+ in groceries it's difficult to do the self check out. I've had several of these encounters so I had to stop shopping there when I get off work in the morning. read more
