I rarely post reviews on Yelp but today I think I must do this as my siblings and I feel tremendously humiliated. We came in today at around 6 PM and the staff was rude. The lady who was wearing the headset gives us an attitude while my sister respectfully shows her grades to get free donuts. Was it because we are Asians or because we are requesting to participate in the free donuts for good grades program? Then, the cashier guy didn't even bother to look at us in the face nor help us put our 3 boxes of donuts in a bag when we requested. Came here on 5/27 at around afternoon and even though the line was super long, it seemed to b moving at a steady pace. But once I ordered the donuts, I was kind of disillusioned upon seeing the few variety of donuts that were available. They basically had only sugar, glazed, and chocolate. Krispy Kreme didn't have my favorite strawberry filled eclair that I usually get at other L.A locations. Additionally, the donuts size was smaller in size and the glaze seemed to be too overly sweet. Customer service has seriously been lacking lately especially in the drive thru. Employees always seem to be nicer when I come in to order. I came last night around 10 PM and I tried ordering a few assorted donuts. I asked for the new filled birthday batter ring and the employee told me they were out, and offered the regular filled birthday cake flavored one. Not a big deal, but then I asked for a chocolate iced with sprinkles and she said they were out of those too. I just went ahead with the strawberry iced with sprinkles. Then I asked for original glazed and she says, "yeah, we're out of those too." then chuckles like it's no biggie and says, "actually nevermind" with a very rude tone. Things like this upset me because it's one thing if you are actually out of an item, I get it. But to be out of three items (just the ones i asked for, could have been more) and act like it's funny in front of a guest, is very off-putting and rude. And after everything was ordered it was dead silent, no repeating back my order, no order total, just about 10 seconds of silence then "pull forward". Wow. I'm not sure why this Krispy Kreme has so many bad reviews and isn't that busy of a location. I came by on a Thursday morning around 8am and it was completely empty, with the exception of 2 cars in the drive thru and one person who came in after me. I was helped by Shon, who was energetic, talkative, and enthusiastic about working here. Nice gentleman and a pleasure to be served by him! Today I ordered an original glaze, nutella doughnut, and a coffee for myself along with two dozen doughnuts to take to work. They also had samples of the new ghirardelli doughnuts which I tried. The original glazed was warm, soft, fresh, and as always - delicious! The nutella doughnut though was surprisingly amazing!! I was weary as nutella is my favorite chocolate/hazelnut/sweet condiment concotion and can become a nutella snob when it comes to nutella flavored anything. Krispy Kreme nailed it though. Their soft doughnut topped with nutella and hazelnuts and filled with a nutella mousse! Not too sweet, and just a delicious form of a nutella doughnut! The ghirardelli sample however was WAY too sweet for me. It was full of sweet, thick, stick-to-your-gums-teeth-and-thighs ghirardelli chocolate that was just too rich for my taste. Beyond pleased with my experience. I was helped out today by Dahnnay; she was extremely kind and amazingly patient. My family loves coupons (I mean who doesn't right!) well we turned out to be THOSE people lol. She had to redo the transaction because I wanted to split it and receive 2 free donuts instead of 1. I didn't tell her on time so everything was already rung up. She had to cancel the transaction and redo everything. The barcode scanner wasn't working so she had to manually input the information, etc. etc.. Dahnnay was so kind throughout the entire 10 minute ordeal. Since this place never do things right! I checked my order and to my surprise they gave the wrong order!! I came back to and walked in and they took the wrong order from me and placed back for "Sandra" to pick it on the Online rack. Mind you I went through the drive through for my online pick up. 2 weeks ago I tried to order via drive through for a dozen donuts at 9am and there were 2 cars ahead of us. It's my first time at Krispy Kreme drive through. Everyone at this location was beyond helpful and accommodating when we were ordering NINE DOZEN donuts for our wedding. They assisted with choosing custom colors for the donuts and making all of my wedding-donut-dreams come true. We had a donut wall at our wedding, and yes it was as awesome as it sounds. We went with Krispy Kreme donuts for the wall because they are the perfect size, come in custom colors, and are delicious. My mom kept asking me, "Who is going to eat donuts off of A WALL?" but at the end of the night, we only have seven donuts left, out of the original nine dozen. They never order enough of the materials or ingredients to make them as pictured and yet they charge the full price. An apology goes along way.. I love the tase of the doughnuts but when you are in the drive thru because you are too tired to get out and order ..I ordered 1/2 dozen and ONLY get four ..
