Wow- the most beautiful cemetery I have seen and a must see in Heidelberg. It is located just a…read moreshort distance from the Altstadt and is wonderful for a walk and a little bit of history. The grounds extend up the hillside for a light hike and the landscape is well kept. There is also a Jewish Section with a gate and a plaque that reads (if my German is correct): "Toward Peace? Think of our brothers and sisters that in the years 1933-1945 were deported from community and city of Heidelberg and (think of) the far away lands in which Jewish Martyrs suffered death."
