I've eaten here a couple times while visiting friends in in Aalen, and each time was impressed with…read morethe creativity, flavour, and quality of the dishes. The service is cordial and much more pleasant than I'm used to receiving in Germany.
The first time I ate here I had a basic Wienerschnitzel with a Weißbier. Excellent, but it's hard to go wrong there.
The second time, I had some pineapple pork chops. I forget the sides that came with it, but I remember being impressed with how everything complemented each other, the creativity behind the dish, and the artful way it was presented.
The last time I was here, I ordered the Salad Vitalis. It was huge and filling, and I'm a guy who used to eat Double Whopper w/cheese combo meals. The salad is served in a ridiculously oversized dish that is similar in shape and size to the helmet of Lord Dark Helmet from "Spaceballs", just flipped upside down.
I recommend this place for lunch.
