Instead, I felt like I was expected to know exactly what questions to ask, which defeats the purpose of seeking a consultation in the first place. Unfortunately, I left the consultation without receiving any meaningful guidance on that topic or on my overall financial situation. What made the experience more disappointing was that I later had a consultation with another bankruptcy firm that lasted about 45 minutes. Being 50 I come from the age of filing being something taboo and I couldn't say with any more certainty it was by far one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life. I immediately had a weight lifted off my shoulders after going to court with Bill and being approved to file with the damages I had caused myself financially.
