If you are on a trip to germany you visit a special place in the noth. This town is called…read more"Warnemünde". It is direct at the baltic sea. Here you can find a lot of beautyful places, a great beach and the typical north-german way of buiding houses ("Fachwerkhäuser").
Warnemünde looks like time has stopped running a hundred of years ago. A two minute walk brings you into the city, where you must have to see places like museums, tiny stores and some fantastic fish-restaurants. Time never stands still in the city of Warnemünde. Seven days per week you can go shopping.
If you are in Warnemünde and dont know where to stay I can recommend the "Pension Birnbom" to you. This guesthouse is the longest building of Warnemünde. Its 60 meters (197 feet) long and it has about 6 rooms for guests. The house is filled with some antique funitures. In the 6 double-rooms you find a nice mixture of antiques and very well equipped bathrooms an livingrooms. Every room has lcd-TV and free WLAN.
The Birnboom is part of a nice tale. Since 100 years people come to the garden of this house to tell the peartree their wishes with little slips of paper.
If visit north germany you should come to the Birnbom (peartree) and tell him your wish. :-)
