Also they told her how dangerous it was to work on greasy / oily parts. The RIGHT thing to do would have been to call her prior to making any repairs beyond what you originally quoted her. Not fair in any way shape or form to do additional work without asking and then holding the part hostage until it was paid for. You took advantage of someone and very clearly are not ethical people. You should have done the right thing and not stolen money from her or anyone else. Think about you actions. I would not sleep well if I had done what you did, but maybe you are only in business for the money. You lost a customer and we will be sure to spread the word.
