This complaint is on a counselor, Gail Logemann, my husband and I had two sessions with her and I was very dissatisfied because I feel she lacks professionalism and needs to not take sides but listen and give her opinion on the matter. We started going to counseling because my husband has several issues that is affecting our marriage. Shutting me out and not talking to me is not normal I told him how do you do it? He agreed with me and said he just does. I'm living with chronic pain and that doesn't make it any better on me. I was hoping that maybe seeing a professional would help him see it from a different perspective view. I was happy when he agreed to at least one session with hopes that he would continue attending more. Gail seemed to take more interest in talking about personal things like my husband's position in the company... things that were not going to help our marriage and wasting our session time. On our last session she said "if he said he had his medicine on the night stand then he did". Excuse me? She doesn't live with us and doesn't know my husband so she can't say that. She said dam if you do dam if you don't. My husband responded exactly. She said several times, " oh no, he wouldn't do that", when I brought up certain things that I feel my husband is doing. I go by what I see and by the way my husband acts toward me I don't just say things to say it. My husband pulled out a note from his pocket right before our session ended and handed it to her saying this is what I wanted to talk about (a note I never read because he refused to show it to me). She took it, read it and wrote down something on her notes and said ohhh... there's trust issues too? Looks at me and asked if my ex-husband had ever lied to me and I said no. Never asked if my husband had ever lied to me, because I would have said yes he has. Don't accuse me of having trust issues if you don't know me. Also, if we were going to talk about trust I should have given time to explain why I feel the way I do about my husband's phone calls and texts that he ignores or just doesn't answers until I'm in a different room. He had contacts saved as unknown but to her it was ok because it was only one and it was deleted. To me it doesn't matter if it was one or five it was the fact he saved it the way he did. Obviously he was hiding who the contact was. Don't say stop acting like a fifth grader when I tried explaining myself as well. My husband replied thank you... But never said anything when my husband kept mimicking me in front of her. That is emotional abuse... Also, we are not in therapy to throw things at each other it's supposed to help us talk about things and be able to understand each other better. Sometimes it's the last resort before a divorce. I hope someone will talk to this counselor regarding these issues and takes steps so she won't do this again. I just hope it goes a lot better with a different counselor. I would have put no stars if the option was available. read more
