Nestled in Los Angeles close to K-town, having this convenient location avoids me having to visit LAX International which could at times be daunting. My Korean speaking skills are limited to "asking" for food, water, and soju. However that has never been a problem here when addressing my needs in English. Fortunately this Korean Air office has always given me Amazing professional service! They always go above and beyond with helpful representatives. Miss Kim today was superb and efficient. Thank you Miss Kim! The waiting lounge is clean and comfortable surrounding you with a great setting. Altogether a wonderful experience. Also, this location has easy access with its own free parking lot for convenience. You can't go wrong! As always, thank you for reading! =)

This was the letter from the Consulate General of Vietnam in Houston.

Wrote this on Korean Air LAX review too, but felt compelled to write it here too. Hopefully, Korean Air can use this to provide better customer service in the future. My friend and I recently had an incredibly frustrating experience with Korean Air's check-in personnel name Jen at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) that I feel compelled to share. Please note, it was my friend's paperwork that was supposedly the issue. I decided not to board because I wanted to travel with my friend. So, my financial lost and any other bad experience was not DIRECTLY associated with Korean Air. Traveling with my buddy, who hadn't been back to Vietnam in 20 years, we were eager to fly with Korean Air due to its positive reputation for customer service and in-flight amenities. Upon our arrival at the check-in counter on September 22nd, we encountered an issue with Jen, a staff member. Despite my buddy's Vietnam Visa clearly showing an expiration date of 06/20/2028, Jen insisted that the "6" resembled a zero. Despite our attempts to explain the misprint (issued date was 06/20/2023 matching the day and month of the expiration/expiration year was also 2028), Jen refused to acknowledge the validity of our visa, leading to a series of events that resulted in significant financial loss and a delay in our travel plans. Despite our pleas, Jen showed no empathy. She reluctantly allowed us time to contact our travel agency but provided no assistance, leaving us feeling pressured and unsupported. After securing a confirmation letter from the Consulate General of Vietnam in Houston, Jen's response was disheartening. Instead of offering reassurance, she responded with a nonchalant, "Oh, you got it?!?" This lack of professionalism was deeply disappointing. Jen's callous remark, "well, you better hope you make it," when we inquired about expediting the boarding process due to the delay at check in, further belittled us. Also, she mentioned that any difficulty once we arrived to Vietnam has nothing to do with them and hopefully we don't have to speak to them again. Hmm? If that was the case why didn't she accepted the Vietnam visa and let Vietnam immigration deal with us when we arrived. Anyways, despite this, we managed to pass through security and proceeded to board the flight. However, Jen called us right after security and claimed that Vietnam immigration had contacted Korean Air, stating they wouldn't accept the letter or visa. She was waiting at the gate to stop us from boarding the plane. This conflicting information left us bewildered. We called our travel agent and they wanted to speak to Jen. She put them on speaker and kept insisting that they made a mistake on the visa and she can't let my friend board. I must admit, our travel agent did speak to her in a high tone voice. She handed the phone back to us and said, "Wow, what kind of attitude is that?" Wouldn't you be frustrated too Jen, if this happened to you. Bear in mind, we were both respectful to her the whole process, even though we knew this was absolutely ridiculous. We were not allowed to board and the plane took off. Subsequently, we decided not to give up and book a flight with Starlux Airlines on the same night. Their staff did question us about the misprint but understood our situation, accepted the validity of the visa, and facilitated a smooth check-in process. Their logical approach provided a stark contrast to our baffling experience with Jen at Korean Air. Surprisingly, upon reaching Vietnam immigration, we passed through without any questions/issues, casting doubt on Jen's claims and making us question her motives. The financial loss incurred amounted to $1800 for my buddy's ticket, covering the forfeited ticket cost, additional expenses for a new flight, lost hotel reservation, and the valuable time wasted during a 12-hour layover. I did not include my expenses as it was my choice to stay back and travel with my friend. This experience has left us deeply disappointed in Korean Air's customer service. We hope that this feedback prompts improvements and ensures that future travelers are spared from such distressing situations.

Had only used Singapore Airlines for our international travels but they no longer do nonstop to South Korea so we had to start using Korean Air. My daughter is now teaching in South Korea so we are flying every 6 months. So i used this airline twice last year and just got back a week ago for this year. Now Singapore Air set the standard, that is the best airline domestic or international, service cant be beat whether its checkin or inflight. And meals like eating in an upscale restaurant. Now for Korean Air, i will say service is just as good. Food is ok, but where they make up for everything is legroom. Man that makes them top of my list now. Their in flight entertainment is solid with new releases, classics, foreign films and tv shows, The Goldbergs Brooklyn Nine-Nine. On this flight i watched Current War, The Joker and Jumanji The Next Level. Good music selections, games. Plenty of cartoons and stuff to keep kids busy also.

This station unfair with customer.

Since…read moreI had some days to spare, I decided to book a last-minute flight from LA to Miami to meet her. I was able to find a red-eye flight. I had low expectations for this airline, but fortunately, the flight was not bad at all. The seats were okay in comfort. It is true that most things are a-la-carte on this airline. However, I appreciate getting a large bottle of water, as opposed to the small cups other airlines give me. The food and snacks were okay in quality, and I appreciate them actually having good on this overnight flight, as other airlines (ahem, American Airlines) do not stock food on their overnight flights. The crowd, for the most part, was not too bad. In fact, only one old salt on my row had some attitude, but that was put down fast. The arrival at Miami airport was on time, and baggage claim took a reasonable amount of time. Looking back, I would not rule out flying on Spirit if I had to. The experience was decent.

So now I'm paying to save lives???? Lastly to talk to an agent for modifications you get charged 30$ just for the assistance they provided!! I've been flying JSX for a number of years, ever since they were a fledgling airline. I've only…read moreflown their Burbank-Las Vegas route, one of their most popular. Burbank was their first LA airport; they now also fly out of LAX, Santa Monica and Orange County. I've seen the brand's fast growth, as witnessed by their ever-increasing number of destinations, subsequent increased crowding at their airport hangars, and ever-increasing costs for flights, valet parking and rental cars (JSX works exclusively with Go Rentals). JSX's main advantage over traditional commercial airlines is their more comfortable overall experience. Touted as a semi-private airline, they fly out of private hangars, thus avoiding TSA. You are only asked to arrive 20-30 minutes prior to your departure. There is no online check-in available or needed, it's a simple and fairly quick process. Since the planes have no overhead bins, all bags are checked except what can fit under your seat. The waiting areas in the hangars are lounge-like, with complimentary snacks, a hot beverage machine and a flavoured-water machine. The airplanes are all small Embraer ERJ 135's or 145's with an average capacity of 30 passengers. There is one flight attendant. Beverages (including alcohol) and a snack tray are complimentary. Wi-Fi is free (Starlink) . There is one restroom at the rear; I've always found the water pressure in the sink to be very low. I've mostly flown the Embraer ERJ 135, 10 rows with a 1-2 seat configuration. Twice I've flown the 145, 16 rows with a 1-1 configuration, but these seem to not be used so much on the BUR-LAS route. I've seen the Burbank hangar go through a few modifications over the years, all for the better. The restrooms were quite pathetic in the past. The waiting area has 2 sections, one more enclosed and quiet--this area has been improved. The boarding area now has more security measures like a conveyor belt for screening your carryon. With the airline's growth, there have been some negatives. Flights have increased more than $100 each way to/from Vegas. The cost for choosing your seat also increased. Parking was always valet-only, the cost is now prohibitive. It's more economical to rideshare here, as do most folks, causing a traffic backup in their drop-off area. With more frequent flights arriving and departing, and with more destinations, the lounge can get crowded. Plus in Burbank, luggage from arriving flights is brought directly into the hangar (vs. in Vegas where passengers collect their luggage plane-side). I've only had a flight delay once. With about 6 flights/day or more to Vegas, a flight cancellation is not as horrific an issue as it would be to a destination with less flights per day. Despite their growing pains and increasing costs, I'm still a fan of JSX.
