We send our toddler to Komal's Daycare and he has been going there for a year now. This was his second try at a daycare and he took to it very well. He loves the teachers, the food, the kids, and the environment. Komal provides yummy home cooked meals that my kid loves especially the aloo paratha. And because she follows a timetable, it is easy for us to decide his dinners at home. He has made great progress in learning as well. He is 2 yrs and 4 months old now but can recite rhymes, can dance, and is even learning alphabet and numbers. Komal accommodated my son on a short notice on her vacancy and went above and beyond to make sure my son would transition smoothly. This day care has 2 helpers and they help komal care for all the babies/toddlers. Together they take care of your child's nutrition needs and keep them entertained with free play, arts and crafts. I didn't had good experience with komal. My daughter joined Komal's daycare after india trip. Though my kid goes to daycare before the trip but kids do forget daycare environment. Ms komal couldn't take care of my kid and she gave up in two-three week and told kid is crying a lot. Though she charged us for whole month. I was very surprised she couldn't handle baby if she is licensed and has degree for this subject. But whatever happens is for best. After her daycare we tried another daycare and there was not a single day we got call to pick up because baby is crying. Looking at her tickets in past, the kitchen door was not closed. I also saw same thing when I went to get my kid since both the areas are connected with a door. This is the same reason she has ticket for. Kids were moving through kitchen and play area which is hazardous. They don't have good teachers or educated teachers I would say. One time I saw aunty handling my kid by singing bhajans in loud voice to keep baby calm. I'm glad my kid gave signs and this is not the place I'll let my kid grow. read more

We were looking for a good daycare in our neighborhood for our elder son and saw this day care online. Wanted to give a try and it worked out very well. First week was little hard for my son to get adjusted which is quite normal but slowly he got used to Komal's daycare and was very happy going there every morning. This was the first day care service we used and we didn't know any better until we spoke with other providers in our area. One of the things the provider tells you during the very first meeting is - "If your kid complains, I will give you contact details of full time nannys" - implying, I will not take care of him/her. Our experience with current provider was entirely different - she said if you kid takes a while to adjust or cries, let us work together instead of hiring a nanny and ease them into the new day care - True parent provider partnership. Our kid started going to this day care at 7 months old, when she was about 12 months we were constantly advised that our kid needs attention and several indirect suggestions to take her out, till we stopped sending her when she was 13 months. During her ~ 7 months here, she sometimes came home with scratches and buffs and we didn't mind them much and overlooked it, but one day she had severe burn from rice cooker and we not even advised when we took her home about the injury. See attached. This was very disappointing. If you need peace of mind and need a stable day care or if your kid is under 2 years, I do not recommend this place. Other Cons- - Need to follow up multiple times for receipts. Receipts are usually given 15-30 days after payments after multiple follow ups - The activity/food menu is incorrect. We used to send home cooked meals on the days they served poori/paratha as this would be hard for our kid to chew/eat. We learned later that they do not follow the weekly menu. read more

I am truly blessed to find Komal's daycare, Right after my parents left, we weren't prepared, where to place our 7 month old kid, to our rescue I found Komal's daycare through web search, which was very close my apartment. We were totally relying on just the reviews in yelp, but as parents we always have a glitch that is he going to be fine. We met with Komal, to look at the daycare, the premises looked nice, clean and most importantly child safe and fortunately there was an opening to join a kid. Right from the day our little guy was joined, he was taken care with lots of love and care, the bonus is the kids around are always playful and happy, which gives the essence how every kid is been taken care. Komal has structured schedule in terms of activities, study time, food she is going to provide and time for sleep and am sure she followed the same schedule, because even now my kid is used to that schedule and a big thanks to Komal. I was literally cherished to look at my kid clapping one fine day with big smile (Picked it from other kids during rhyme time) and I miss that we had to move out from the daycare since my wife wants to care for kid for a period of time.  But it was always a wonderful moment when I came to pick up lemmu in the evening all the kids speak with happy faces and entertaining my little kid, am sure my kid will be missing that too. Not a daycare for little ones who still need more attention just than feeding, putting to sleep and changing diapers. Parents should definitely ask age of other kids before enrolling little ones to the daycare. Infants and toddlers can be very active and they need different kind of attention and support. Personally I pulled out my infant after a few days realizing this place expects little kids to learn by themselves. Schedules for kids can vary at different stages and it is wrong to set expectations based on older kids' rotuines in the daycare. Could be possible for older kids to adjust with the place but not a right place for the kids/babies who need more attention. Also, don't understand why this daycare is expensive compared with rest of other Fremont home based daycares while the care and the services provided are very standard. read more

Excellent Daycare !!! My Son has been attending Komal's daycare for over about 8 mths now. He started when he was 2 yrs old, when we had just relocated from India. My objective of sending my son to daycare, was to ensure social, communication ablilities are enhanced and in process he should learn as well. With Komal, she ensured he developed all these and much more. At Komal's, we felt it is perfect setting of learning with family/home environment. She treats him like her own child, perhaps why he is attached to her as well. She had good ratio of child/caretakers. Komal limits number children to 14 with child of various ages and 3 person to care for them, in home setting. My son feel it as home away from home, rather than school. He started attending the daycare when he had just started to talk, had to be feed and was not yet potty trained. And now my son is, very social, clear with his communication, talks clear sentences, eats food for most part by himself (without fuss and mess), he is potty trained, interacts well with his friend, no shyness or stranger anxiety, knows sharing of toys and fun in playing together Big part in the same is thanks to Komal and her daycare. Komal's plans various activities for each week, based on a theme. Shares the same with us, beginning of each week, along with food plan for the week. Thanks to that he is able to identify A-Z, number from 0-20, most common animal (even Hippo and Rhino), Colors. Another good thing about Komal is that she ensure a child who is unwell, is not sent to Daycare till he/she is completely well. Help prevent common infections from spreading. We started daycare for my son when he turned 1.25 years old. Till then, he was pampered at home by his grandparents. My son loves it here! He started going to Komal's when he was 6 months old. He had never had anyone but my husband and I taking care of him, and was shy with other people. He immediately took to Komal and didn't even cry when we dropped him off! He is 2 1/2 now and everyday I ask him what he wants to do, it is to go see his friends at daycare. He has so much fun, singing, dancing, playing and learning (he knew his ABCs and all his colors at 1, and can now identify almost all his ABCs and numbers 0-9 by sight). Komal and her helpers really work with the kids and I know he gets so much out of it. She also has new toys for the kids all the time and my son gets so excited for "new car day." He also loves the food! We don't eat Indian food at home, but this is his very favorite at daycare. Komal has also been very flexible and accommodating with my schedule. My daughter started going to Komal's daycare when she was less than a year old. I can happily tell you that my daughter loves going to Komal's daycare! Komal, her helper and the teacher are all super friendly and genuinely love working with children. This is so apparent in the way Komal greets each kid and sends them off each day. Not just my daughter, I've seen many other children here smiling and laughing as they get to the daycare in the morning. Other than the usual Monday morning blues, my daughter has never shown any distress at going to the daycare. She comes home and tells us all about playing with the other children at the daycare, singing songs and showing us what she learnt that day. My daughter eats and sleeps well at the daycare. Komal provides fresh and tasty food at the daycare - and sends us the weekly menu in advance. The kids are also given fresh fruits to snack on. She is usually well-fed, rested and clean when she comes home in the evening. Komal also sends out a weekly list of activities that the kids are going to be doing that week. My daughter has learnt such a lot - alphabets, numbers, colors, shapes and songs - we're so happy about that. If I had to choose one word to summarize Komal's daycare, Amazing!! We enrolled our son when he was a 6-month old infant and watched him grow into a beautiful, naughty and happy toddler. He enjoyed a lot and learned so much from being there - crawling, walking, vocabulary, counting and how to play nice with others. The kid loved circle time and playing with big ball. I have 15 month old son, after looking at yelp reviews, me and husband decided sending our son to this Daycare part-time. Although Komal says that she has more then 8 years experience of taking care of infants and toddler, I was surprised that she was not able to take care of my baby for more then two weeks. She said that he was creating lot of work for them as he needs more attention. What do you expect from a 15 month baby, when he is in a totally new environment and around new people? I think to take care of a baby you need patience, and surely she lacks it. She would feed him big chucks of food knowing that he doesn't have teeth to chew on it, and he would chock on it and throw up almost every day. I feel so terrible to put my son on this misery for two weeks, just to hear that he is too much work for them. My son went to Komal's daycare from when he was 17 months old and has been there for the last 1yr 6 months. He took the first 2-3 weeks to know his komal aunty, mamta aunty and new friends well. After the initial 2-3 weeks, he was always eager to go to Komal's daycare by himself. I preferred packing my son's milk, water and fruit snack everyday and his mamta aunty will always feed him that everyday. Komal also provides fresh home cooked lunch which was one of the reasons we selected her daycare. Either komal or mamtaben will always give me an update on what he did everyday. Initially my son was a bit shy and we were not sure how much he will learn in a family daycare. Saying that, Komal has a teacher who comes everyday and will teach the kids numbers, colors and rhymes. My son could say 1-20 and A-Z from when he was 2 years and now at 2 yr 11 months he knows all his colors, counting 1-20, saying A-Z and pretty much all the english rhymes. Everything was taught at Komal's daycare as we don't teach him anything at home. Also, whenever my son got sick at the daycare, komal will give a call and inform us right away so we could take him to the doctor. As he gets whizzing problems at times, this was important for us. Overall, komal and her helper mamtaben were very caring and loving towards my son and provided a healthy and nurturing environment to him.
