A year after the case was settled,I start receiving calls from a collection agency for an overdue payment. I called Jason and asked what this was about. When she finally produced the documents, she had misspelled our loved one's name and seemingly had not reviewed other materials we had sent her. A measure of sensitivity is required that unfortunately was absent here. I hope ours was an isolated example.

Rebecca was easy to talk to and work with regarding the issue at hand and was very up front what she could do for me and the financial costs. She was very candid regarding the potential outcomes in moving forward or not. I was very happy that this issue was about me and not what she could charge me for her services. It was not about dragging it out to line her pockets. She always encouraged me to do what was best for me and my family and presented a valuable impartial position. I was waiting on a return phone call from another Burlington criminal attorney and while waiting on the sixth business day, I decided to call Kaplan and Kaplan. The man himself picked up my phone call on the second ring, and within 15 minutes we had established a course for our legal relationship. Within 48 hours of the first phone call and 24 hours of securing the retainer, Mr. Kaplan called me and provided the best possible news for my investment. I live as far away as possible within the United States from Burlington. The other attorney (who I spoke with briefly but has not called me back) told me i had not choice but to fly to Vermont. This was in May. While I sit here awaiting the return call from the original attorney I contacted, I already have a copy of the docket report which enables me to reapply for my United States passport. Not every criminal matter is this easy, but once the retainer was in, Mr. Kaplan moved on my issue with lightning speed. Bravo, Kaplan and Kaplan Will Hicks

Well it turns out I was NOT guilty according to the written law. Not only was I surprised, but so was the officer and Judge! My traffic citation was tossed out, and the officer was not too pleased. But I'm pleased because justice was served!
