This is a municipal run stadium which caters for athletics as well as the local football team. As municipal facilities go it's ok. The pitch is well maintained, although with the hot weather it could have used some extra watering. How they cope with the Athletics season and the football season I wonder. Must venues I have know like this the football pitch suffers because of discus, javelin and discuss events, but this pitch looks ok. The Athletics track has five lanes so I guess no international competitions are held here. The track looks in reasonable condition. Some worn bits not sure they exist through completion or the large vehicles they have parked around the back. The long jump pit is in need of levelling out but I guess if it is not used often then it's not a priority in terms of maintenance. A decent quality facility which I am sure has served the region well over the years, it could use a little money spending on it, which duel use facility couldn't!! read more
